How Can We Find Devices Connected To Wi-Fi With A Smartphone?

If You Have A High-Speed Internet, But You Suddenly Notice That The Speed Is Slow, There Is A Possibility That Someone Is Using The Wifi Network Without Your Permission.

To identify this problem, you must examine each wifi connected device, which is tedious.

In this article, we will introduce some solutions to identify these connected devices through your phone quickly.

Identify devices connected to wifi through a smartphone

Users widely use wifi, and almost everyone has their network. But sometimes unauthorized persons can obtain your password and enter your wifi network. This issue causes your bandwidth to be shared and your network speed to decrease. You can use an Android or iOS phone to solve this problem and identify the connected devices.

The first method is to identify devices connected to the network

First, download the Fing software and install it on your Android device. (iPhone users can also use the iOS version of this software.)

In the next step, you need to start the process of scanning all the devices that are connected to the wifi network.

After that, you will see a list of devices that use the wifi network.

You can now view the details of connected devices by clicking on them.

Done; now you can prevent the device from connecting to the network through the MAC address of a machine and blocking it in the router.

Device identification through wifi inspector software

Another exciting program with the same functionality as Fing and is just as easy to use is wifi, Inspector. A simple tool that allows you to view all devices connected to the network (wireless or wired, TVs, PCs, tablets, phones, etc.). This tool can provide information about an IP address, manufacturer, device name, and MAC address.

In the first step, install Wifi Inspector on the Android device and run it.

It will now show you the wifi network name. Touch Inspect Network to start the scanning process.

The scanning process is started, and all devices connected to wifi are detected.

Now you can see a list of all the devices connected to the wifi network.

You can now prevent devices from connecting to the network through the MAC address of devices and router settings.

Using NetCut

NetCut is a free tool that works only on rooted Android devices. But if you want to identify people connected to your wifi without rooting the device, you can use NetCut.

First, download and install the NetCut program on your Android phone and run it.

Make sure you are connected to the wifi network you plan to scan. In this case, you will see a message that the device is not rooted. Touch Ok to continue.

Now click on the option and enable the Fat Scan check box.

Now, on the main screen, you must select the Refresh icon.

The software shows a list of devices connected to the wifi network. You can block devices by MAC address.
