static and dynamic website design

What do you know about static and dynamic website design?

Whenever there was talk of website design, the first question about website design was, is it static or dynamic? And The dynamics always had high credibility and value with the customers, and the static sites were seen as worthless and unattractive. In this article, we have tried to examine website design and its types from a static and dynamic perspective.

About static website design

In general, every site designed is static from the starting point. The meaning of static is that the figures and contents in the sites, as they are placed from the beginning, are frozen and can no longer be updated.

As you know, website design is mainly done in two languages HTML and CSS. When the site’s designer and programming team designs the site’s pages according to the client’s needs, they consider different parts for it.

Now imagine that in the upper area of a website, we have a fixed slider in images with two images. Every 5 seconds, the image changes, and the alternative image is displayed. Now, we have a static site if we can’t change this slider and put a third image for it after uploading or loading the site on the hosting and domain.

If the site was dynamic, we could add the third image to the slider by entering the management panel. But now that the site is static, we have to write instructions from the beginning and upload the site again on the host. This is because we do not have a management panel on static sites, and no library or information memory can be used to change static sites without programming knowledge.

Control panel

Of course, it should be noted that the designer may say that to add the third slide to the slider, you need to put the image in a folder to be added to the slider. Of course, we do not mean such a thing by management panel; But the management panel has more features in such a way that the management of the sites will suffer without it.

For example, you need more freedom of action to enter personnel or register or register news and articles, which static sites cannot implement. For the smallest activity, you need coding and reprogramming. So, in general, static sites are static sites that must be re-coded for each change, and each change is applied directly to the desired page.

Dynamic website design

Regarding the design of dynamic sites, it should be mentioned that, generally, they are the same as static sites with small differences. For example, server-side programming includes codes in the site’s programming code, which asks for the requested information every time the page comes up, and then receives instructions on which data to show.

Each time the page is loaded, the information printed may differ from the information printed last time. It is also possible that the printed information has not changed countless times.

Where is the question now?

This part of the management panel helps us enter, edit, and delete information. So, we have another page besides the page that the user sees. It is behind the scenes, and the site admins have access to it, which is called the management panel.

Of course, the entire site doesn’t always need to have this capability and, in other words, be dynamic. Sometimes we need continuous updates only on the news and articles page. So, we only make this part of the site dynamic and design a management panel. This issue, which depends on the customer’s needs, saves money and time spent on the site.

Difference between static and dynamic site

As you have understood so far about the site’s design, at first, it should be done statically, and in the next stages, according to the customer’s needs, the parts of the site that need constant updating and dynamic coding are done.

  • Static sites have a higher loading speed because they are smaller in size.
  • Static sites do not have a management panel.
  • Static sites are not updated.

And, of course, the opposite is true for dynamic sites.

Static advantages

About static site design, it should be said that this type of site has its advantages. Therefore, you should not think that static sites are useless and are not used in any business. It is assumed that you have a product and only want to display information about that product. Or any text content without updating. A static website design is recommended for you.

Below we have listed some of the advantages of a static site:

  • The site loading speed is high.
  • The cost of setting up the site is low.
  • It has acceptable security.

Disadvantages of static website design

Now we must state the disadvantages of the static site. Pay attention to the following points that we have mentioned as disadvantages:

  • There is no place to update continuously.
  • If changes are needed, a high cost will be incurred.
  • The management panel is closed.
  • You cannot have multiple pages on your site.

Static sites also have weaknesses in areas that can make them very difficult to work with.

Dynamic benefits

Dynamic sites are more dynamic, and the demand for them is more in the market, and of course, they are more efficient because they provide more features and facilities to the administrator.

The merits and advantages of dynamic sites are as follows:

  • Make it easy to update
  • Edit in the shortest time
  • Management panel feature
  • Management without the need for computer knowledge
  • Unlimited number of pages
  • The possibility of optimization and SEO
  • Extensibility

Disadvantages of dynamic website design

Surely nothing in the world is found without defects. Even though the dynamic site is superior in many factors, it is not excluded from the mentioned rule. To establish justice in the comparison, we also mention the disadvantages of such sites. But they can seriously be overlooked and ignored.

  • They have a higher production cost.
  • The rise speed is lower.
  • Hosting and domain costs are calculated more expensively.
