SSL certificate

What is an SSL certificate?

An SSL certificate stands for Secure Sockets Layer and refers to a secure connection layer used to encrypt information exchanged between the client and the server. By default, Internet communications use the HTTP protocol, which stands for Hypertext Transfer Protocol. However, by installing an SSL certificate (SSL Certificate Install), the site protocol changes from HTTP to HTTPS, and a secure connection is established from the server to the user’s browser. This digital certificate confirms the identity of the site and establishes an encrypted connection.

HTTPS indicates that the SSL certificate is active on the website. In fact, the process of transferring sensitive and confidential information of individuals is completely secure, and logging into user profiles on various websites is done on a secure platform, preventing access by unknown people. In fact, this protocol utilizes SSL or TLS for encryption, which is required to transfer sensitive information, such as banking details, usernames, and passwords, with a high level of security. This adds an extra layer of security to your site.

Ensure that you have connected your host and domain, and set your DNS for the domain, before installing the SSL certificate.

In this section, you will see your domain with options such as Mail, WWW, and FTP. You must check each of the addresses (URLs) for which you want SSL to be enabled and then click the Save button.

Note: Be sure to select both the version with WWW and the version without it.
