Sometimes We Unknowingly Change Important Settings In Photoshop In Such A Way That The Software Loses Its Past Performance. 

Reset Photoshop Settings, and This is where restoring the default settings can come in handy.

It may happen to you that after a while and for some reason, the settings and tools of Photoshop are removed or have a problem. Fortunately, in this case, it can solve the problem without the need to reinstall Photoshop with the following solutions.

Restore Photoshop settings using the key combination

The easiest and fastest way to reset Photoshop is to use Ctrl + Alt + Shift on Windows, and Cmd + Opt + Shift on Mac. To reset this way, click on the Photoshop icon and immediately press the combination keys based on the operating system type. You will then see the following message asking you to reset the confirmation settings.

If the first method does not work for you, you can use the second method, which is done through Photoshop’s own settings. Open Photoshop and then press Ctrl + K to open the Preferences window.

Now from the window that opens, select the Reset Preferences On Quit option and finally click OK. This resets Photoshop and returns to the default settings.

Restore Photoshop settings to their original state by deleting the settings file

If none of the above methods work, you can reset the Photoshop settings file using the delete method.

In Windows, go to:

C: \ Users \ USERNAME \ AppData \ Roaming \ Adobe \ Adobe Photoshop version

Go this route on Mac OS:

Users / USERNAME / Library / Preferences / AdobePhotoshop version

Note that instead of USERNAME, you have to replace your username instead of your Photoshop version. On the page that opens, delete the Adobe Photoshop 2021 Prefs file.

Although resetting Photoshop does not save the brushes, brushes, actions, etc., it is best to back up important parts of the file before resetting.
