10 useful Gmail tips and tricks that you should know

What makes Gmail such a popular piece of software is its wide range of customization options. There are many ways to use Gmail, and many useful tips that can make using it a more enjoyable experience for you. In the following, we present some approved methods for managing and organizing Gmail.

 

1- Sending and archiving in one step

We’re going to talk about a time-saving trick. First, select the gear icon and select See all settings from the created drop-down menu. Under the General tab, find the Submit and Archive section and check the box next to the Show Submit and Archive button. Then scroll down and select Save Changes.

Following these steps will add a new button when replying to an email. Selecting that button will allow you to send your reply and automatically archive the email. As a result, delete it from your inbox. This feature is for people who receive a lot of emails; It’s convenient and keeps their inbox clutter-free.

Changing to Compact frees up a lot of space and allows you to see more email information per line. It’s a good setup if you want to maximize your productivity and see as much information as possible at a glance.

Whenever you send an email in Gmail, you will notice a yellow box that tells you that the email has been sent. However, if you act quickly, you can cancel the email while it’s being sent. This feature is called Undo Send. This feature appears as a cancel button in the sent message banner. Select that button to turn your email into a draft.

The Undo Send feature is available by default, but you can extend how long it takes to undo an email send. Here’s how: Select the gear icon in the upper right corner and select See all settings from the drop-down menu. Go to the Undo Send section in the General tab. Here, you can set a cancellation period of 5, 10, 20, or 30 seconds.

After you’ve written your email and are ready to send it, instead of clicking the Send button, select the down arrow icon next to it to bring up the Schedule Send option. After clicking this option, the Schedule Send small window will appear, where you must select the date and time you want the email to be sent. Once scheduled, your email will be sent on the date and time you selected.
