How to Create a Twitter Account without a Phone Number
Twitter phone number verification can be nerve-wracking! I am constantly creating new Twitter accounts for myself and my freelance clients.
Recently, I’ve been having trouble verifying new accounts during the phone verification process. I have the solution for you if you are also facing this problem!
Indeed, the most important thing is that it is free!!

Normally, I didn’t have much trouble creating these accounts until a few weeks ago when I had to create two new accounts for a client.
I thought to myself, no problem! I have done this time and time again with no problem.
I created my first Twitter account when I suddenly got this prompt when I created my second account.
The problem was that I already used my mobile number on my accounts, and so did my client.
Twitter verification number failed error
I tried using a VPN service to see if I could get around. I kept getting the “your phone number was not successful, please try another number” error. I have tried using paid services like Pinger, TextNow, and Burner and have used them successfully in the past using social media and Craigslist, but the problem is that these phone number services are VOIP based.
Most big sites prevent these numbers from working because the same phone verification CAPTCHA aims to determine the real users and prevent having multiple accounts of the same user.
So, after some trial and error, I finally figured out the right way to verify this Twitter account and any future ones I needed, and I’m sharing it with you!

Step 3 To use Google Voice with your smartphone or tablet, link its phone number to your account.
Step 4 Google Voice will then call or text you to verify your identity.
Note: The good thing is that you can set up new Google Voice numbers regularly, and it will simply remove the old number. You can repeat this step as often as possible to get a new number and complete Twitter account verification.
Step 5 Get that local number, go back to Twitter, and enter it.
Step 6: Go to your Gmail account, and you will see the verification code Twitter sent to your new Google Voice number.
Step 7 Enter that code on Twitter, and you will get confirmation.
This is it! Are you done? Now you need to verify your Twitter account. The great thing about using Google Voice is that you can repeat this tutorial a hundred times, and it will work every 100 times. You can create as many Twitter accounts for yourself or your clients as you need for free.
