A Look At ADATA’s SSD Cooling Initiatives At Computex 2023
As A Leading Brand In The Manufacture Of High-Speed And High-Quality SSD Memory, ADATA Uses Interesting And Innovative Solutions To Keep These High-Speed Memories Cool.
During the Computex 2023 exhibition, this brand unveiled advanced coolers for SSDs, which we will review below.
As a leading brand in manufacturing high-speed and high-quality SSD memory, ADATA uses exciting and innovative solutions to keep these high-speed memories cool. During the Computex 2023 exhibition, this brand unveiled advanced coolers for SSDs, which we will review below.
The speed of E-Data PCIe Gen5 SSDs reaches more than 10,000 MB/s. Naturally, achieving such extreme performance comes with heat generation and negatively affects SSD performance in the long run.
Therefore, by introducing special SSD coolers, ADATA has solved the high-temperature problem of these high-speed memories to record new records in reading and writing information on SSD.
During the Computex 2023 exhibition, ADATA introduced the first SSD coolers in the world, which are unique and have excellent performance in keeping the SSD cool. In the following, we will introduce these coolers.
Project NeonStorm SSD cooler
Project NeonStorm SSD uses a unique cooler; its reading and writing speed reaches 12-14 thousand MB/s. The cooler of this SSD is a combination of liquid and air cooling systems. The heat of the SSD chips is transferred to the liquid cooling by the metal heatsink and then moved to the second heatsink equipped with silent fans.
The second heat sink interfaces between the liquid cooling and the fans. Also, when the fans on both sides of the Project NeonStorm SSD cooler are turned on, the heat of the SSD is transferred to the outside. ADATA’s new cooling system’s performance has improved by 20% compared to similar models.
Cooling LEGEND 970 SSD
SSD LEGEND 970, with a speed of 10,000 MB/s, uses an aluminum heatsink with a small fan. The unique design of the aluminum fins helps to move the air effectively and dissipate the heat of the SSD, and a tiny and silent fan is responsible for managing the airflow.
The airflow is introduced into the LEGEND 970 cooler by a small fan, and passing through the aluminum fins helps dissipate the SSD heat effectively. The unique design of this cooler improves its performance by 10% compared to similar models and maximizes SSD performance.
External SSD cooling SE920; Press to cool.
The SE920 external SSD uses the USB4 port to achieve read and write speeds of 3200 to 3800 MB/s. SE920 is the world’s fastest external storage memory and has a cooling device with a small fan to dissipate heat.
To cool down, it is enough to press the body of SE920 so that the SSD chassis opens in a sliding manner, and the cooling system equipped with a small fan is activated, which lowers the temperature of the SSD.
After the SSD has cooled down, you can close the chassis by pressing again and turning off the cooling system. This innovative external SSD cooling design has improved the cooling system’s performance by 10% compared to similar models.
