ChatGPT, A Chatbot That Can Make History
Suppose You Have Followed The News Of The Technology World Seriously. In that case, You Are Well Aware Of The Evolution Of Artificial Intelligence Is Amazing, And Every Once In A While, We See The Development Of Attractive Products That Have Artificial Intelligence At Their Heart.
The latest achievement in this field is the Chatbot (ChatGPT), developed by the non-profit organization OpenAI. Many experts believe it will create significant changes in the coming years.
The critical question is why chatbots are so popular with companies, and ChatGTP is so much in the media spotlight.
A new wave of chatbots like ChatGPT has entered the human world from the world of artificial intelligence and can redefine and even replace internet search engines. Over the past three decades, a handful of products, such as the Netscape web browser, Google’s search engine, and Apple’s iPhone, have revolutionized the technology industry and revolutionized the digital world with their unique innovations.
In early January, an experimental chatbot named ChatGPT surprised many experts in the technology world with its extraordinary performance. Many experts said that this chatbot might change the world of information technology. Some announced that this chatbot might replace a significant part of the workforce.
ChatGPT can provide information in clear and straightforward sentences instead of a list of web links in response to user-generated dialogues. More precisely, it can and concepts in the same way that was to them in our standard dialects. Also, it can suggest creative ideas in various areas, such as business strategies, New Year’s gift suggestions, blog topics, article writing, and attractive holiday plans.
Although ChatGPT still has a long way to go to reach a complete and accurate concept, its release made the CEO of Google declare it as Google’s red line.
For Google, releasing such an intelligent chatbot is a big wake-up call, as it can give Google the most significant challenge in its history and take its place as the world’s number one search engine.
ChatGPT, by relying on the most powerful algorithms and paradigms of artificial intelligence, such as natural language processing (NLP), will be able to do things similar to humans in the cyber field.
In the last 20 years, the Google search engine has been the main gateway for accessing Internet content. But continuous developments in the field of chatbot technology have led to the hypothesis that we may see significant results in this field so that if Google, Microsoft, and other companies do not make a substantial change in the architecture of their traditional search engines, the possibility of replacing them with chatbots. It is not far from expected. This issue has caused Google to face the first and biggest serious threat in the world of business, so one of the managers of Google has described these efforts to hit Google and the company’s future.
ChatGPT has been developed in one of the research laboratories of the OpenAI Institute, A non-profit organization in which various companies, including Google, are present.
According to some experts, Google, the giant of the technology world, has the right tools to compete with startups and businesses that intend to develop such robots.
Like other big tech companies, Google has been working on chatbots for years and is working on its own AI technology. In addition, Google has also created chatbots that can compete with ChatGPT. Interestingly, Google is one of the member companies of the OpenAI organization, and the specialists of this company carried out part of the OpenAI chatbot development process.
A robot claimed to have the ability to understand emotions has not been very successful in this field. Google’s chatbot, Language Model for Dialogue Applications (LaMDA), was developed by Google engineer Blake Lemoine in the summer. The above robot indeed had some shortcomings in understanding emotions, but the technology developed by Google showed how much chatbot technology has progressed in the last year.
However, Google may be reluctant to use this new technology to replace its online search engine because it is not performing well enough to serve digital advertising, accounting for over 80 percent of its revenue last year.
What is ChatGPT chatbot?
ChatGPT is a prototype AI-based dialogue-driven chatbot that can understand natural human language and produce accurate human-like written texts. To be more precise, ChatGPT is the latest version of GPT algorithms, a family of artificial intelligence that can generate text.
As mentioned, the mentioned chatbot is the latest achievement of the non-profit organization OpenAI, which Elon Musk was one of the founders of and was the CEO of this organization at first. This organization was founded in late 2015 with the cooperation of a Silicon Valley investor named Sam Altman, and its goal is to develop digital intelligence to help humanity. Of course, Elon Musk is separated from this startup and has almost little connection with the above organization. In mid-January, Elon Musk tweeted that OpenAI had access to the database of the Twitter social network to train this chatbot, but now this access has been cut off.
How does ChatGPT work?
This chatbot was developed based on machine learning and its subset, natural language processing. It can respond to various types of conversations and user questions through a conversation-oriented user interface to provide accurate information to users. As we mentioned, this chatbot was trained through a vast collection of information published on the Internet, including Twitter. As noted by the OpenAI organization, this tool was developed with a focus on “ease of use,” A dialogue-oriented format was placed in it so that it can answer various questions of users, realize its mistakes and not react to inappropriate requests.
In what fields is the new OpenAI chatbot used?
People using the chatbot describe it as a worthy alternative to the Google search engine. It can provide detailed explanations, answer complex questions, and offer exciting solutions for things like correct coding. In the real world, the above chatbot can generate website content, answer customer questions, and make purchase suggestions for users.
Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, says: “We are only seeing a prototype of a tool that will be able to answer questions as accurately as humans in the future and become an efficient digital assistant.” An assistant that will be able to provide detailed recommendations to users. This tool can do different things and finally give us new information. One of the possible uses for this chatbot is to teach other basic concepts in a simple language to humans.
Is ChatGPT going to replace humans?
Now, we come to the critical question, is ChatGPT going to replace humans and make a considerable part of the workforce unemployed? There are already speculations that content creation jobs will be lost to this tool. Many activists in the field of artificial intelligence believe that ChatGPT can enter areas such as playwriting, teaching, programming, and journalism.
It is not harmful to know that since the beginning of the public release of this chatbot, some professors of schools and universities have tested it, and ChatGPT was able to receive a perfect score. In addition, the conducted tests identified and fixed programming-related problems in a few seconds. Also, this tool can produce texts similar to humans, which will make journalists jobless in the future.

OpenAI has described the goal of creating such an intelligent chatbot to produce conversational artificial intelligence that can answer any question. This chatbot is unique in some areas, but generating song lyrics isn’t the only thing ChatGPT can do. Users can have an entire conversation with the chatbot. ChatGPT has extensive information on various topics and can recall previous user discussions. For example, you can ask it to double-check the text or code produced to improve the output.
For example, in Figure 5, ChatGPT is asked to make suggestions about choosing a name for a startup, but because it suggested long terms, it is requested to offer shorter names. As shown in Figure 5, the initial proposals are presented in the upper part of the image, and in the lower leg, the optimized chatbot submits d recommendations.

What are the benefits of ChatGPT?
As we mentioned, ChatGPT is a chatbot based on natural language processing, one of the critical trends in machine learning. For this reason, it has its advantages and disadvantages. ChatGPT, which may be a virtual assistant in the future, can code and prove answers in some domains. Among its benefits, the following should be mentioned:
- ChatGPT has a comprehensive understanding of scripting and programming languages. ChatGPT coding challenges and problems and perform some magical proofs.
- ChatGPT is equipped with technologies that allow it to conduct accurate and natural conversations with humans—a feature where previous chatbots failed.
- This technology was free for users when writing this article, and there is no need to pay.
- It’s true that ChatGPT still has some shortcomings, but its performance in the short term has been described as admirable.
- ChatGPT is flexible and multi-purpose that can be used as an intelligent assistant to simplify the content creation process and improve software development workflows.
What are the disadvantages of ChatGPT?
When the chatbot has acceptable performance, it faces some shortcomings. OpenAI has said it has identified these limitations and addressed some of them. Among its disadvantages, the following should be mentioned:
- ChatGPT has a unique expression, even when it makes mistakes. In other words, it has a penetrating language. So that it can give an answer that seems correct, but in reality, it is not. As a result, depending on the audience’s level of knowledge, it is difficult to recognize this issue. Analyzing ChatGPT responses to find out what is right and what is wrong is a time-consuming process.
- If you use it consistently, you will find patterns and terms that repeat in the text. This issue during content production may cause the creation of duplicate content or content that repeats itself in terms of structure.
- Sometimes, ChatGPT cannot do something and doesn’t understand the meaning of some questions correctly. Of course, if you change your questions and use slang words, he will get the point.
- The fact that access is free has caused a high demand to use ChatGPT, which may make it unavailable or slow down in the long run. Of course, OpenAI can allocate enough computing resources and capacity to solve this problem.
Overall, ChatGPT is a budding model and has not yet approached the form of evolution we envision. For this reason, it may have biases in some areas. Also, it cannot ask detailed questions to clarify user queries and sometimes provides long answers.
last word
Despite all the things mentioned, ChatGPT currently lacks complete skills in doing these things and faces shortcomings in areas such as critical thinking or the power of moral decision-making, which are essential features in writing. OpenAI’s new artificial intelligence also provides wrong or nonsensical answers in some domains.
“Some of the chatbot ‘s mistakes are difficult to correct because it requires complex coding, and in some domains, there is no reliable data source to train the model,” says Sam Altman. “Supervised learning can be misleading, as the ideal answer may arise from the AI’s perception of concepts that may not be true.”
