With Samsung UFS 4.0, The Storage Speed Of The Phones Reaches 4200 MB / S
Samsung Introduces UFS 4.0 Technology, An Attractive Technology That Will Increase The Speed Of Reading And Writing Data On The Storage Memories Of The Phones To 4200 And 2800 MB / S, Respectively.
Samsung has just introduced its UFS 4.0 solution, which will use in a wide range of smartphones, tablets, and other portable devices. Samsung has announced that UFS 4.0 high-speed memory will enter mass production in the third quarter of this year.
Sammobile points out that with the introduction of Samsung UFS 4.0, the next 23 years of the Galaxy S series or the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 clamshells will probably be among the first devices to be equipped with UFS 4.0 storage. However, this has not yet been officially confirmed. However, the critical point is that Android phones with UFS 4.0 storage will be high-speed.
According to Samsung, the maximum bandwidth of UFS 4.0 can reach 23.2 Gbps, which is twice as much as UFS 3.1.
Thus, these memories will be ideal for 5G smartphones that process large amounts of data. With Samsung’s new 7th generation V-NAND technology, data read and write speeds are 4,200 MB / s and 2,800 MB / s, respectively, significantly higher than what UFS 3.1 offers.
Samsung says power efficiency has also been improved in UFS 4.0 so that devices with this type of memory can offer longer battery life along with more bandwidth and faster write and read speeds. The South Korean tech giant claims that UFS 4.0 power consumption has improved by about 46% compared to UFS 3. x.
UFS 4.0 storage will be available in up to one terabyte, making it suitable for Samsung flagship phones, which usually come in several versions with different storage.
Thus, the company is expected to use this type of memory in the next generation of its clamshell or Galaxy S23 series smartphones. The company will also work with other manufacturers to make UFS 4.0 available on smartphones, augmented reality and virtual reality devices, and other Android smartphones.
