How programming became my worst career choice

I have been coding for six years. My salary is 55,000 pounds ($72,000). In two years, I might get £70,000 ($92,000). When I look at the income of people in office jobs, I strongly feel I have made a colossal mistake.
The problem is that programming is still a cost center, and we are constantly under pressure.
It’s getting harder and harder to raise wages, and more of our work is centralized and automated, So in s, some cases, wages will even decrease soon.
The main problem with programming jobs is working hours; Not only the official working hours, which may be extended But the time you have to spend programming outside working hours.
To continue your career as a programmer, you need to learn new techniques and languages constantly. If you want a new job, you need to have high-level skills and participate in strict tests conducted by sites like Hackerrank to get an interview after passing the test. There are so many of these sites; keeping up to date with them is a full-time job.
Because of this, it is straightforward to get stuck in a programming career.
You get hired in this job and don’t have time to prepare enough for all the entrance exams of a new job. I have personally spent months working on test sites without pay; However, I am still stuck in the same place.
I love coding but can’t devote all my days and nights to it. That’s why I’m tired. I have spent many years of my life in this profession, and I am afraid it will not bring any results in the next ten years. There must be better options.
