What is the story of Web 3 ?
The Internet and the Web can be considered the greatest human inventions unprecedented in the last century. Today, almost no one can imagine life without the Internet, and with just a few hours of certainty, we can realize how accustomed we are to it and can not simply ignore it.
The world of the Internet and the Web has been in constant shape for a long time, and we have not seen any change in it for a long time. Well, now is the time to change everything and create a new world for the Web.
The subject of this article is exclusive to the Rocket website of this new world or, in fact, Web 3 . An integration of the Web, cryptocurrency, artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and much more. Join us to get acquainted with this new world.
Web architecture from 1990 until now
After the invention of the Web and expanding it, the Internet world was much more limited than what we see today. This was the first phase and the first attempt to implement the World Wide Web, which we now know as Web 1 . Web 1 was the early version of the Web, in which static pages were made available to users in formats such as HTML, and they could read its contents.
Web 1 was exactly like a newspaper where users could browse the information, and there was not much user engagement. For example, you could not do anything specific, like, comment, or anything like that.
As a result, Web 1 was just the beginning of the Internet, and it took almost a decade for it to stop and be replaced by a new generation of Web. Web-version 2! We are currently working on the Web where you are reading this article.
Web 2
With the development of new technology and programming languages, it became possible to create a new Web world. Web 2. The term Web 2 was there in 1999 by web designer Darcy DiNucci. Web 2 was there with the idea that users should also be able to participate in the website, and after the creation of Web 2, users became very important.
As we said on Web 1, all users could read a web page, and there was virtually no participation. But in Web 2, it became possible for users to interact with websites in various ways.
For example, right now, you can post a comment at the end of this article and contribute to development of this page. This is the main feature of Web 2.
In Web 2, all information is in a central server, and the server administrator can check all user information. As a result, with the passage of time and the development of social networks, users became concerned about their data security. They feared that the managers of a company would misuse their information.
So the biggest bug in Web 2 is keeping users informed and secure, which we have seen in so many cases that, despite many security protocols, not everyone can do it.
On the other hand, companies such as Facebook have repeatedly got through the accusation of selling users’ information to other customers for financial gain, which is better through other companies.
Therefore, considering these issues, Web 2 will need fundamental changes. Internet and Web can dominate a large company and decentrally store user data.
This is exactly the idea of Web 3 and the subject of this article.
Web 3 and the Unknown Future
It’s too early to decide exactly what Web 3 is, but we generally know what Web 3 will look like and exactly what the decentralized Internet is all about.
The goal of Web 3 is to put all the information and data in the world into a common database so that no one has control over specific data. No one owns the data, and only the new data is published. No one owns Web 3, and everyone has a role in the process.
But is it possible to do so? Using the new capabilities that blockchain technology can offer us? Yes! Blockchain is a new way of communicating and sending various data that encrypts the Bitcoin currency and the like based on the blockchain network.
If you remember, the most important feature of a digital currency password was that you could anonymously send some money to a wallet. This is exactly the situation that is possible with the help of blockchain.
Of course, for many years, people thought that blockchain was the only network for transmitting currency cryptocurrencies. Still, blockchain can be considered a great example of transferring information peer-to-peer.
So we can use this technology to create a new world. Web World 3.
Benefits of the Web 3
In the world of Web 3, you will have advantages over Web 2, which are some of the main ones:
- Anyone with access to the Web 3 has access to various tasks. There are no permissions!
- No one can block you or restrict you from using anything
- The payment process is done using the currency code (currently the leader in the development of Atrium 3 based web applications)
Web Restrictions 3
- Scalability: Interactions and transactions are slower than Web 2 because Web 3 is decentralized, and changes need to be approved.
- User Experience: Using web-based applications will be a bit more challenging than usual, so that some users may be confused at first glance.
- Accessibility: The lack of integration and ubiquity of Web 3 will now cause accessibility issues that should certainly be in the future.
- Cost: Maintaining and developing decentralized network-based applications may be a bit high.
in the end
Of course, we still can’t talk definitively about how Web 3 works. But what is clear is that big tech companies like Google, Facebook, and Twitter need to think about themselves. So far, the world’s largest technology company, Google, has not responded to this issue and has not taken any steps to develop this structure.
It seems to be an attractive project and will capture the future greatly. We will talk more about this in Rocket.
