How to Change Time (Clock) Format in Windows 11
When applying formatting options, your regional Windows 11-time format settings affect how to date/Time, numeric, and currency data types are displayed. Windows supports multiple languages, plus currency and date/time formats for countries/regions that use those languages.
You can change the short and long time to a custom format you want Windows to use and display.
The Time in the taskbar uses the short time format.

Method 1: Format Windows 11 clock from settings
- Open Settings (Win+I).
- Click/tap Time & Language on the left and click/tap Language & region on the right:
3. Click/tap Regional format to open it and click/tap the Change formats button:
4. Select the format you want in the Short Time and Long Time drop-down menus:

Method 2: Changing the time format in the Regional Control Panel (Region Control Panel)
1. Open the Control Panel (Show Icons) and click/tap on the Region icon.
2 On the Formats tab, select the format you want in the Short Time and Long Time drop-down menus and click/tap OK:
Method 3: Change the time format in the custom format control panel
1. Open the control panel (show icons) and click/tap on the Region icon.
2 On the Formats tab, click Additional settings:

- Click on the Date tab.
- Choose your desired format in the short time and long time drop-down menus, or type your desired format in the short time and long time boxes.
- Click on the OK button.
4. Click/tap OK:
