How To Add Watermarks To PowerPoint Slides?
Most Of Us Use Microsoft PowerPoint For Our Presentations And Share Our Information With Others Through Its Slides.
Watermarks, Since this information may be unique to us, we may want to use a watermark in it. But how to create a watermark in PowerPoint and add it to the slides?
A watermark is an image placed in the background, but to the extent that it does not interfere with the text or the original image of the slides. You can use the logo of the company you work for as a watermark or type a word. In this article, we want to teach you how to create and add watermarks to slides in PowerPoint.
Build and add watermarks in PowerPoint
You can add a watermark to a slide or all of them. If you want to add a watermark to all the slides, use the Master Slide feature (from the first step of the tutorial). We use this feature to add a watermark to all slides, but if you want to use only one watermark slide, the first and second steps will not work for you, and use the third step onwards.
It should be noted that the first presentation slide is usually the master slide, and any design changes, such as fonts or backgrounds, apply to all slides.
To add a watermark to slides in PowerPoint, follow these steps:
- Step 1: In the menu bar at the top of the page, click on the View tab and select the Slide Master option.
- Step 2: Select the first slide or master slide from the left bar. All subsequent slides are located below it.
- Step 3: Now, click the Text Box button under the Insert tab and select the Draw Horizontal Text Box option.
- Step 4: The text box appears in the middle of the slide you selected. In this article, this box is located in the middle of the master slide. To resize this box, you can drag the corners with the mouse.
- Step 5: Once you are satisfied with the size of the box, click inside the box and start typing. Click the Home tab and customize the dimensions, type, color, and other watermark specifications. These options may be under the Format tab.
- Step 6: With the handle on the top of the box, you can rotate the watermark.
- Step 7: In the Arrange menu, select Send to Back so that the watermark remains in the background and other elements such as text and images are visible on your slide.
- Step 8: Click on the master slide and select the Format Background option.
- Step 9: A sidebar appears on the right. Under the Text Options tab, change the Transparency to 80% or similar values so that the watermark disappears in the background and the elements and text can be seen more clearly.
- Step 10: After you are satisfied with the watermark, click on the Normal option in the View tab.
Your watermark is ready and will be visible on all current slides and slides that you create in the future and add to your presentation. To make the texts and elements more visible, we suggest using light colors.
Build and add watermarks to images
The above method does not add watermarks to slide images, but in most presentations, we encounter images and want to add watermarks to them as well. To do this, there is a way in front of you to add watermarks directly to PowerPoint images. To do this, follow these steps:
- Step 1: First, drag the image you want with the mouse and drag it into the slide. Instead, you can use the Pictures option under the Insert tab to add photos from the cloud and online.
- Step 2: Under the Insert tab, click on the WordArt option and select the watermark text style you want.
- Step 3: Now, a box appears inside the image where you can type watermark text.
- Step 4: As before, you can change the watermark position, font type, size, and dimensions and place it in different locations.
- Step 5: Under the Design tab, click on the Format Background option.
- Step 6: Now select the watermark text and in the right menu, click on the Text Options option and scroll down to find the transparency slide. Move the slider so that both the watermark is visible and does not negatively affect the images.
You may want to change the location and amount of watermark transparency in the image in the future.
