Bad News For The Owners Of These Xiaomi Phones
Although Some Users Are Waiting For The MIUI 14 Update, Xiaomi Has Officially Added Several Xiaomi Phone Models To The List Of Products That Are No Longer Supported.
But has your Xiaomi phone reached the bottom line and no longer received updates? See the list of phones in the hardware city.
List of Xiaomi phones that are no longer updated
All phones eventually reach the stage of EOS (End of Support) or the end of support from the manufacturer and will no longer receive any updates. In the latest of them, some popular Xiaomi phone models have reached the end of their journey, and software support will no longer be used.
According to the new list announced by Xiaomi, since the end of last month, four other models of Xiaomi products have reached the EOS stage, one of which was an intelligent phone among users at the time.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 is the phone we are talking about. Redmi Note 8 was very popular and is still in many Iranians’ hands.
List of Xiaomi phones that are no longer supported:
- Redmi Note 8
- Redmi Note 8T
- Redmi 8A Dual
- Redmi K30 5G Speed Edition
Almost all four mentioned phones belong to early 2020 and have reached the end of their journey within three years. Of course, a lot of software support for Xiaomi phones is not a new event, and now and then, more models are added to the list of forgotten phones.
It is not harmful to know that Xiaomi released two new versions of Android for the Redmi K30 5G Speed Edition, Redmi Note 8, and Redmi Note phones, but since the Redmi 8A Dual was a low-end or cheap phone, it received only one Android update.
Among these phones, Redmi Note 8 owners are probably the most upset about the end of software support. Redmi Note 8 was the first phone of Xiaomi’s Redmi Note series with four cameras and was trendy.
Sooner or later, all phones will suffer the same fate regardless of brand and model. However, the software support of different mobile phone brands is additional. Also, expensive or flagship models are usually supported for longer.
How to get updates again?
If your Xiaomi phone has reached the bottom line, custom or unofficial ROMs are only available. Otherwise, you must select new Android or more recent versions of the MIUI user interface.
