Malware or malware are computer programs; They are known by this name because they usually annoy the user or cause damage. Any software that is intentionally designed to harm a computer, server, client, or computer network (in contrast, software that causes unintentional damage due to some defect is usually described as a software bug).

There is a wide variety of malware, including computer viruses, worms, Trojan horses, ransomware, spyware, adware, rootkits, spam, rogue software, and malware.

Programs are also considered malware if they secretly act against the interests of the computer user. For example, at one point, Sony Compact Music CDs silently installed a rootkit on buyers’ computers to prevent illegal copying, but this also added to the reported listening habits of users and inadvertently created additional security vulnerabilities.

A wide range of antivirus software, firewalls, and other solutions are used to help protect against malware intrusion, detect it if it exists, and recover from malware-related malicious activity.

How to deal with malware threats?

With the rise of malware attacks, attention to viruses, and protection against spyware, protection against malware and programs designed specifically to combat malware has begun. (Other prevention and recovery measures, such as backup and recovery methods, are listed in the Computer Virus article).

Anti-virus and anti-malware software

A specific component of anti-virus and anti-malware software, commonly referred to as an on-the-go or real-time scanner, goes to the kernel or core of the operating system and works in a way similar to how some malware works. Work with the user’s informed consent to protect the system, however.

Whenever the operating system accesses a file, the access scanner checks to see if the file is “legal.” If the file is detected by the scanner as malware, the access operation is stopped, the file is scanned by a scanner in a predefined way (how to configure the anti-virus program during installation/upload).

 This type of malware protection works in the same way as antivirus protection because anti-malware software scans all incoming network data for the malware and blocks any threats you encounter.

Anti-malware software can only be used to detect and remove malware that is already installed on your computer. This type of anti-malware software scans the contents of the Windows registry, operating system files, and programs installed on the computer, and provides a list of available threats, allowing the user to choose which files to delete or keep, or Compare.

This list gives a list of known malware components by deleting the matching files.

Real-time protection against malware works in the same way as real-time antivirus protection: This software scans disk files at load time and blocks the activity of components known as malware.

In some cases, attempts to install startup or modify browser settings may be stopped. Because many components of malware are installed as a result of browser abuse or user error, they use security software (some of which are anti-malware, although many are not) to “sandbox” browsers (actually downloading the browser from a computer).
