The new Windows 11 bug makes it difficult to update or repair programs

Recently, a new bug in Windows 11 has caused annoyance to users. This time, some programs may experience issues or be repaired.

Microsoft has confirmed that, due to a known issue in the latest cumulative update with code KB5007215, some programs may experience this problem. This issue has been reported to users on the known problems page of this update. But where does this problem come from? According to the company, installing this cumulative update or newer updates may cause problems with Microsoft Installer (MSI). The Microsoft installation may cause issues with Windows, as it is one of the most critical systems for installing programs or patches. Many software developers use this installer to install their professional software on various Windows systems.

Windows 11 official requirements

Here are the minimum hardware requirements to install Windows 11:

• Processor: 1GHz or faster CPU or System on a Chip (SoC) with two or more cores.
• Memory: 4 GB.
• Storage: 64GB or larger.
• System firmware: UEFI with Secure Boot enabled.
• Graphics: Compatible with DirectX 12 or later with WDDM 2.0 driver.
• TPM: Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0.
• Display resolution: High-definition (720p) display with a diagonal size greater than 9 inches, 8 bits per color channel.

Microsoft Explanations

A complete list of software affected by the bug is not yet known. However, Microsoft has mentioned Kaspersky-made software in its comments.

Microsoft has considered a temporary solution to this problem and suggests. Users should remove programs that have become corrupted and can no longer be used from Windows, and then install the latest version. The software giant noted. He is aware of the problem and will release an update to fix it soon. Notably, this issue has also been reported by Windows 10 users, affecting versions 21H1 and 21H2 of the operating system.

Many still believe that Windows 11 is not yet, as it should be, an ideal operating system for everyday tasks, and is far from comparable in performance and stability to Windows 10. Microsoft has announced that Windows 10 will be supported by 2025 and recently changed its policy of providing two major updates to Windows 10 per year to one major update per year. Giving Microsoft more time to address issues in both Windows 10 and Windows 11 will also benefit.
