Microsoft Confirmed; 22h2 Is The Latest Version Of Windows 10
Microsoft says no new Windows 10 will be released after 22H2.
Microsoft announced in a press release that 22H2 is the last version of Windows 10, and Redmond has no plans to release a newer version of this operating system. So Microsoft previously announced that it will end software support for Windows 10 in 2025. By 2025, we will see the release of security updates for Windows 10.
Microsoft released Windows 10 operating system in 2015. Since then, new Windows 10 have been released regularly, and Microsoft has made security updates available to users every month. Microsoft released two new Windows 10 every year in the past years, but eventually, it released a new version every year.
Since the general release of Windows 11, the number of updates and new features for Windows 10 has decreased. Windows 10 version 22H2 had no new features and only fixed bugs.
According to the Windows Central report, Microsoft plans to update the 22H2 version of Windows 10 monthly and fix software bugs while providing security patches. From October 14, 2025, onwards, software support for Windows 10 will ultimately end.
