Google’s Magic Editor Is Launching A New Wave Of Fake Images

With Magic Editor, You Can Apply Professional Editing To Images Without The Need For Complex Tools And High Technical Knowledge.

One of the most impressive new Google technologies at the I/O 2023 event was the Magic Editor feature. To demonstrate this feature, the internet search giant showed an image of a woman in front of a waterfall, and then the presenter quickly moved the desired subject and transferred it to another direction. The woman’s space was filled with the help of artificial intelligence to make the final photo look very natural.

The Magic Editor AI demo performed well at this year’s I/O event. Google has been developing this tool for years. This company has several image editing features based on artificial intelligence, including the magic eraser, A tool that lets you quickly remove objects and people from your images.

Of course, the Mgaic Editor tool is imperfect; we don’t know its release date. Google’s ultimate goal is to create and edit photos in an easy, one-click manner.

The company offers its new tool to apply complex edits without needing professional tools. It uses the power of artificial intelligence to isolate and change different areas of the photo. These features include improving the appearance of the sky, movement, and dimensions of subjects and removing parts of the image with just a few taps.

Google's Magic Editor technology

Magic Editor tries to provide all the steps you take to perform similar edits in programs like Photoshop, all in one place and in an easy way.

For example, in Photoshop, you can move the desired subject in the image using the Content-Aware Move tool. Of course, using this method, like other features of graphic programs, requires learning, and you can do creative and professional things with it.

Of course, we all wish Google would offer more free photo editing tools because programs like Photoshop and other professional software are usually costly and probably not affordable for many people. Thus, access to powerful image editing tools in the Google Photos program and a very easy-to-use method will change how we view the image editing process.

Recently, Samsung has paid much attention to photo editing capabilities based on artificial intelligence, including Space Zoom. This feature allows you to capture incredible images of the moon.

Plenty of similar photography-enhancing features are built into smartphone cameras. As the Verge points out, mobile photography has resulted in many fake images. However, Google’s Magic Editor could create a new wave of photo fakes because it makes creating these images more accessible.

“We’re in the pursuit of perfection, and Magic Editor will give you more control over the final look and feel of your photos,” the internet search giant announced in a blog post.

Google calls Magic Editor an experimental technology that will be available for Pixel phones later this year, and then it will be available to users of other Android phones.
