Finally, The Nature Photographer Of The Year Competition Announced The Overall Winner And The Winners Of Other Categories For 2021. 

Norwegian photographer Taj Klass was announced as the overall winner and the winner of the bird category.

The nature photography contest celebrates the beauty of nature photography. This year, 20,061 photos were submitted in 13 different categories, which, according to the organization, is a record for this contest.

The main prize of this competition consists of 3,000 euros for the winner in addition to cash prizes and other equipment. Norway’s Taj Klass won the bird category and top overall honors for his photo of migratory birds titled “Winter Migration.”

Taraji Klass says:

More than 80,000 geese stop each spring and fall between wintering grounds in Denmark and the Netherlands and breeding grounds in Spitsbergen in the Trondheim Fjord wetland system. I am proud to host thousands of pink-footed geese in my garden for several months of the year.

Taraji could finally photograph the geese in the pure and clean snow background during the strange and rare occurrences of blizzards and heavy snowfall of the year. He says that he had been photographing geese for more than 20 years until he ran out of ideas, So he tried to send a drone into the air. After dozens of failed attempts over the past few years, he finally took a photo worth sharing in late April 2020.
