The winner of the top 6 photos will be announced at a special exhibition in Amsterdam on April 12 this year. The pictures below are arranged alphabetically by the last name of the photographers.

This image was recorded on September 28, 2017. A boat of Rohingya refugees trying to escape from Myanmar capsized eight kilometers off Anani Beach near Cook’s Bazar in Bangladesh. Out of 100 refugees who were on the boat, only 17 people were saved. This picture shows the bodies of the victims.

Boko Haram uses these girls for suicide attacks. This girl has managed to survive. Her name is Aisha, and she is fourteen years old. This picture was taken on September 21, 2017, in Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria. After being kidnapped by Boko Haram, Aisha was on a suicide bombing mission when she ran away and went for help instead of detonating the bomb.

The winner of this competition will receive a cash prize of ten thousand euros and Canon camera equipment as a gift. The winning photos will be displayed in an exhibition held in 100 different places and 45 countries of the world, and more than four million people will visit these exhibitions.
