Winners Of The Sony 2021 World Photography Awards Announced
The World Photography Organization has announced the winners of the Sony 2021 World Photography Awards. These winners have been selected from the best images of 2020.
At the Sony 2021 World Photography Competition, more than 100 photographers competed in 10 free categories. Each winner will receive the state-of-the-art digital photography equipment from Sony as a prize, and then continue the race for the free winner, which will be announced on April 15.
The final Winners Of The Sony 2021 World Photography Awards will receive the title of Free Winner of the Year and $ 5,000.
In the following, we will introduce the winners of 10 different categories of free photography and describe them.
Architecture
The photo above is the work of German photographer Klaus Lenzen . The photo shows a staircase at the Hyatt Hotel in Düsseldorf that leads to a window to the blue sky. The elements of the image appear to be floating in space. Stairs and windows in dark shades, in addition to highlighting the design, add an element of surrealism to the photo.
Creativity
This photo is by Zimbabwean photographer Tamari Kodita . The title of this photo is Victorian African and it shows a picture of a young black woman in a black Victorian dress with traditional Shona dishes on her head.
This photo examines the background of black women’s body stereotypes and offers an alternative visual language to represent multidimensional African identity.

The photographer of this picture is Juan Lپpez Ruiz from Spain. The name of this electric storm on lavender is taken in the Spanish province of Guadalajara. This dramatic photo shows lightning striking a lavender field. The presence of a single tree in the middle of the dark sunset sky is a feature of the image.
Natural world and wildlife
Estonian photographer Cristo Pilame has posted the image above as a small kiss. In this image, a hare with a tongue out of its mouth looks at the surrounding fields.
things
The photo above, titled Souvenir, is by Hungarian photographer Kita Zie, showing a mannequin sewing in an empty room. For Zie, the stillness of the scene evokes the spectator’s sense of loneliness and is reminiscent of quarantine memories.
portrait
The image above, titled Boy, is the work of Russian photographer Ludmila Sabanina. In this image, a child is staring at a point in space, meditating. This photo shows another dimension of childhood, peace and reflection.
Street photography
Above photo by Turkish photographer, F. Dilek is Aviar. This work, entitled Disinfection, is a cinematic photo. This photo shows an employee of the Ankara Municipality Health Unit in protective clothing walking on a platform and spraying disinfectants on the train.
Travel
Drying fish is the work of Vietnamese photographer Kan Fan. The photo above shows a lone woman at a long fish market in Baria-Wongtawa, Vietnam, surrounded by hundreds of fish-drying trays. Due to the photo taken from above, the fish trays look like a large piece of cloth woven by a woman.

This year’s photography competition was judged by FOLA Director Gatson Dello in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The winners and all the selected photographers will be announced and honored in the form of a virtual exhibition on April 15.
