Winners of the 2022 International Landscape Photography Competition
The Winners Of The 9th International Landscape Photographer Of The Year Competition Were Announced With Spectacular Results And In Various Categories.
In the ninth edition of the international landscape photography competition, more than 3,800 images from all over the world participated. China, the Netherlands, France, and Japan are just some countries that included winning photographers. The best black-and-white photos, abstract aerials, and seascapes are just some of the categories covered in this competition.
Chile’s Benjamin Briones Grundy has been named International Landscape Photographer of the Year thanks to his extraordinary collection of images. Grundy’s incredible ideas result from their hard work and his photographic ability to embody his vision. Each scene begins as a sketch, which Grundy then photographs and manipulates to arrive at the final look. The results are dreamy photos that elevate landscape photography to fine art.
David Burnett, the co-founder of Contact Press Images and judge of the competition, says:
Every year I help judge this contest, I am more proud of my fellow photographers. It’s a joy to bask in these images and a constant reminder of what sacrifices our participants make for photography. Long walks in snowy, rainy, and cold weather to find a perfect location are the things buried in the heart of these photos.
The image of the Mexican Martin Braun also brought him the honor of the best single photo in this competition. In the Caterpillar Cave System, Brunn’s photo shows a lone diver shining a light inside a flooded cave.
