The Popular Story Feature Is Coming To Telegram

Pavel Durov, CEO Of Telegram, Announced This Week That It Will Bring The Popular Story Feature For the Temporary Posting Of Photos And Videos To Its App.

Stories are everywhere these days. It seems like every social network wants to offer its version of this feature made famous by Snapchat and Instagram. If you’re not a fan of this feature, it’s even harder to avoid.

In a message he shared on his Telegram channel, Durov said: More than half of the feature requests sent by users were related to the story feature. At first, we were against providing this feature because it exists on other platforms. However, if we do not listen to our users and innovate in existing formats, Telegram will not remain Telegram.

How the Story Works in Telegram

Almost as expected, users can share photos and videos that disappear after a while. However, Telegram is trying to offer more features than its competitors. For example, users can choose whether a story expires after 6, 12, 24, or 48 hours. Most apps expire stories after 24 hours.

While Instagram has a public feed for Stories and another for Close Friends, Telegram allows users to create lists with different contacts for each Story. You can share a particular story with your best friends and other store-level colleagues.

The user interface will be similar to other stories-based apps, with a list of stories above the chats list. Users will have the option to react or reply to an account. After this feature becomes available, publishing the content of a channel in the Telegram story will also be an option.

According to Durov, even people against this feature in our team are starting to understand it. Now it is impossible to imagine Telegram without it. Telegram story will be available for users from next month.
