Stay Tuned To See Some Of The Top Images From The 2021 Wildlife Photographer Of The Year (WPOTY) Competition, The Final Winners Of Which Will Be Announced This Fall.
The selected images of the 57th Wildlife Photographer of the Year ( WPOTY ) competition, which were chosen from more than 50,000 photos from 95 different countries, show the beauty and vulnerability of nature and animals in their natural habitat.
As evidenced by the number and quality of entries, this year’s contest is the most competitive in WPOTY history. The winning images will be announced in late fall.
The WPOTY competition and exhibition is London’s Natural History Museum’s global platform for photographers. Photographers of any age and level of photography can participate in this competition to capture and share the beauty of the natural world.
Ørsted Renewable Energy and Seedlip sponsored this year’s competition. A panel of international industry experts will judge each submitted image anonymously based on its creativity, originality, and technical excellence. This field has different categories, including age, location, and subject.
This year’s submissions include a diverse range of unique images, including a lynx recovering from an ecological disaster and narwhal shrimp trying to communicate in the deep ocean.
Ahead of the official winners being announced in October, a unique selection of award-winning photos has been released to remind viewers of the importance of the species and diversity of life on Earth.
