Sony's New PS5 Update Release

Sony’s New PS5 Update Release

PS5 Software Version 7 Is Now Available For All Consoles, And Now PS5 Owners Can Make Discord Calls On Their Console, Transfer Data Between PS5 Consoles, And Use Their Voice To Record Gameplay Clips In 1440p Resolution. Has Also Been Upgraded.

With the PS5 software version 7 update, owners of this console can use the Discord program on their mobile phones or PCs to transfer Discord calls to their consoles, just as this program supports Xbox. Discord servers cannot be directly accessed on PS5 without a mobile device or PC.

Currently, it is only possible to make audio calls, so it is not possible to view Discord chats, play video calls, or other displays of Discord users. However, the Discord integration is smooth. After the call is transferred, it can be connected with other users on different devices, such as Xbox, PC, etc., and it will be displayed as a separate app in the PS5 menu until the call ends.

The Discord integration is an excellent add-on for playing with others, allowing PS5 players to chat with Xbox and PC gamers without relying on in-game chat features. Microsoft improved access to Discord for Xbox last year, allowing Xbox owners to join audio channels directly without using a phone or PC. We hope to see it done on Sony’s console soon.

The PS5 features VRR support for 1440p Resolution

1440p mode has also been upgraded with this update. According to Sony, 1440p has been expanded, and the variable refresh rate enabled it, creating a smoother visual performance in games. More HDMI modes and devices are now supported in this mode, and it is possible to use its capabilities.

Make a clip of your game. With this new update, Sony has improved its voice command support, and PS5 owners in the US and UK can now say, “Hey PlayStation, capture that!” They can even request timed clips with a command like “capture the last 5 minutes”.

Sony has also improved the social aspects of the screen sharing feature and chats in the PS5 dashboard, with a new “friends who play” home view that lets you see friends playing the same game. Sony is also making accessing games easier and loading data saved on PS4 to PS5. A new option allows PS5 owners to transfer data and games between PS5 consoles using a Wi-Fi or local LAN connection.
