Roman Fedortsov Is A Russian Fisherman Who Encountered Deep Sea Creatures During His Catch And Decided To Share Their Images With The World.

Roman Fedortsov has spent 18 years of his life on a fishing trawler. Over the past several years, he has captured and shared terrifying images of the strange and scary creatures of the deep sea that have fallen into his trap. Fedortsov lives in the large port city of Murmansk.

Fedortsov’s expertise is in fish processing or understanding how to best prepare it for freezing and delivery to end customers. After high school, he enrolled in a maritime-focused university. Fedortsov  says about his work:

Usually, at sea, we have six hours to work at sea and six hours to rest; these six hours are called a watch. During the watch, I work in a fish factory and am responsible for the fish processing process, So I have to control the other sailors working.

Other fishermen spend their free time eating a meal, watching TV, and sleeping, But Roman Fedortsov takes pictures of strange creatures in the deep sea.

Fedortsov and crew work to catch commercial fish such as cod, haddock, halibut, redfish, and her, ring in the Norwegian Sea, Barents Sea, and Atlantic Ocean.

When their fishing nets reach 300 to 1000 meters of the sea, it is not too far to expect unusual creatures to be caught.

Fedortsov says:

When we pull the net in, we release some of the sea creatures that are still alive; But unfortunately, most of them do not survive.

About five years ago, Fedortsov started sharing photos of these creatures to show the world what the ocean holds in its heart. These days, he takes wildlife pictures with his iPhone 11 Pro Max. Fedortsov says:

Since many people have no idea what fishes look like, I created an Instagram and Twitter account for myself. I was impressed with the appearance of some deep-water fish and wanted to share my experience with others.

Fedortsov says that seeing the creatures of the deep sea never scared him but made him more interested and impressed.
