Roblox has been exclusive to Xbox consoles for almost a decade, but it will soon be available on PlayStation.

In fact, it has been announced that this work is going to Meta Quest and  PlayStation consoles . Although the official page of Roblox on the X platform did not publish this news, it is expected to be released on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 next month. The exact release date will probably be determined in the next few days.

The fact that Roblox took so long to be released on PlayStation was probably due to various reasons. Perhaps the most important reason for this is the content of this work, which makes it an inappropriate game for young people. Jim Ryan had previously expressed his concerns about the possible negative impact of this Roblox on PlayStation users. Nintendo has always been very strict about such things, but apparently PlayStation and Jim Ryan have loosened up a bit over time.

Anyway, this is good news for Roblox, as it could soon be on its way to another big market. Obviously, the game is already popular enough, but with 17 million PlayStation 4 users, it looks like it will become even more popular once it’s released on Sony’s consoles.

At the Roblox Developers Conference (RDC), Roblox introduced an artificial intelligence assistant that users can chat with. This AI will help you create whatever you like and have a better experience from this platform. Previously, the capabilities of the new Roblox Assistant tool were introduced, and now, thanks to this productive artificial intelligence, you can create virtual assets and write code.

Using Roblox Assistant, users can write whatever they need to create a special virtual environment for them. In the demo, someone wrote, “I want to make a game that takes place in an environment with ancient ruins,” followed by several rocks, moss-covered pillars, and ruined structures.

Typing “Make the gamer appear near the ruins and a campfire” will cause the Campfire to spawn and a chair to be placed next to it.

With the command “Add some trees for the gamer to chop into pieces” nearby trees will also be created. According to Roblox spokesperson Roman Skoratovsky, this will remove Assets from your Store or Library.

Generative AI caused many to have a negative view of its future, but the addition of this technology to the game looks interesting. In an interview with The Verge, Dan Sterman talked about how this tool might be able to create basic gameplay behaviors; For example, it can make you move to a new place by touching one hand. Roblox Assistant is also useful in coding and answering questions about game development in Roblox and can be an important tool for those interested in this platform.

Unfortunately, users cannot use Roblox Assistant at the moment. Sterman said that this tool is supposed to be available at the end of this year or the beginning of 2024.

It’s worth noting that developers have bigger plans for Roblox Assistant, and Sterman said he expects the AI ​​to build complex gameplay and even build 3D models from scratch in the future. Another tool improves voice conversations with the help of artificial intelligence and can provide a more optimal experience to people. This company tested this feature in August. According to Roman Skoratovsky, its English model will be added to Roblox soon, and four more languages ​​will be added by the end of the year. These four languages ​​are Spanish, Italian, German and Portuguese.

Roblox, like many other companies, believes that it will help the people who use its service by providing artificial intelligence. In this regard, Sterman says that they do not intend to look for their own opportunities by providing these capabilities, but they want to make it easier for developers.
