Is it possible to view someone’s Story without having an Instagram account?

Before anything else, you might think of logging out of your account or using an incognito window through your browser to view people’s stories secretly. Unfortunately, you can’t take a sneak peek, as Instagram only allows logged-in accounts to view stories. Probably the easiest and fastest way to view a story anonymously is to view it through nearby stories. As you know, when you open Instagram, you see the story bar at the top of the main screen; whenever your friends and people you follow publish a story, their Story is placed in this bar. If you touch one of those stories after viewing it, the Story of the next person or account will automatically appear. Fortunately, through this bar, you can sneakily check someone’s Story without the other party noticing.

Note: It is better to test this method with your mobile phone; if you want to try it through a computer, your name may be among those who have viewed it.

It’s a simple trick, but it has limitations, such as the fact that you have to be careful not to touch the screen and that this method is only suitable for viewing photos, not videos.

However, if only a glance will satisfy your curiosity, you can use this trick. To do it, you must:

1. Open the Instagram app on your phone.
2. In the story bar at the top of the home screen, tap the Story to the left (previous) of the Story you want to check out secretly.
3. After opening the previous Story, tap and hold on to it.
4. Now, without removing your finger from the screen, slowly drag it to the left so that a little bit of the Story you want is revealed after this Story. You must be careful since you don’t want to leave a trace of yourself. View Instagram stories anonymously using another account

Another way to secretly view someone’s stories is to create a new account. The risk of this trick is lower, and you can consider secondary specifications for yourself. By creating this account, you can share some of your creations and other works and follow those you don’t want to be shown on your main account through that page.

Of course, this trick works when the page of the person you want to sneak a peek at is not locked. If the page is private, it is doubtful that they will accept your secondary account request, so you have to be very lucky that the page of the person you want is not locked, or if it is, it will accept the request of an anonymous person.

Anyway, here’s how to set up and create a new account:

1. Open the Instagram app.
