Peter Delaney Is An Accomplished Wildlife Fine Art Photographer With A Passion For Black And White Photography And African Elephants.

Peter Delaney loves black and white photography and African wildlife, especially elephants. A decade ago, Peter first encountered a herd of elephants on his first wildlife safari in Uganda. His first encounter with these magnificent beasts was frightening.

Unfortunately, the time has not been kind to the elephants living in the area, and in the past, they hunted many of them for their beautiful tusks.

I was a novice wildlife photographer then, and this encounter made me very wary of elephants. Every time we approached the elephants, they would attack. Although there was no more hunting in that area, it is the nature of elephants that they do not forget or forgive easily.

Ten years later, after many safari trips and tens of thousands of photos, Peter has fallen in love with African elephants and spent countless hours in their presence.

I have witnessed the most unusual behavior and interactions of elephants. Elephants are brilliant animals that can feel and understand emotions. If you are calm and relaxed, they will reflect these feelings too.

Understanding the behavior of elephants has given Peter the privilege to photograph unique moments that few people see. As a fine art wildlife photographer, she makes it her mission to share beautiful black and white images of African wildlife to inspire support for Earth’s wildlife.
