Attractive Images With Surreal Edits That Will Delight You

Manica Carvalho Is A Creative Artist Who Creates Spectacular, Engaging, And Inspiring Photomontages By Surrealizing The Photos You Take.

Surreal, Meet Manica Carvalho: Berlin-based digital artist and painter who loves optical illusions. Manica loves to give new meanings to familiar concepts and subjects by finding unexpected similarities.

This creative artist creates engaging surreal images by photographing himself, his friends, his pets, the places he travels to, and the objects he encounters.

In the thrilling journey of “extraordinary concepts,” Manica strives to highlight the beauty and capacity of subjects that are sometimes taken for granted in our daily lives.

I believe that everything has the power of inspiration, and that depends only on our attitude.

Manica Carvalho was fascinated by art and illusionism from a young age. He enjoyed the world of dreams and magic shows and watching “The Impossible is Possible.” Carvalho loved to fall into the trap of visual illusions to make him look at them repeatedly. It was not long before the childish mind of this magical artist became fascinated by the magical mechanism of photography. He eagerly photographed the objects around him to create a collection of world memories. Manika says about her feelings for art and the transformation of her interest in her current form:

My curiosity in everyday life and familiar objects and concepts made me want to manipulate the photos to make the desired changes. Throughout the history of my art studies, I became acquainted with the Surrealist movement, and with its help, I was able to find a new way to “see.” I quickly realized the possibilities that art offers for playing and inventing new and different stories. In those days, I suddenly realized that my photos alone no longer satisfy me. For my photos to become a visual challenge, I had to touch them. Looking for a way to combine my two interests, photography and surrealism, I found a solution called “digital collage.”

As a student, a friend of Manica graphic designer introduced him to Adobe Photoshop. This is how the young artist finally found a way to integrate photography with his imagination. For almost ten years now, Manica Carvalho has been teaching Photoshop, and she says she is still discovering new Photoshop tricks. If you look at Manica Carvalho’s Instagram page, you will notice that her skills have evolved.

The process of creating and merging images in Photoshop and then retouching colors in Lightroom is relatively fast. Most of my photomontages take between one and two hours. The process of creating a digital work, presenting new ideas, and training my eyes to see things that have nothing in common at first glance and to find unusual connections are some of the areas that take the most time. This is what I mean by “extraordinary manifestations of ordinary concepts.” Everyday objects are so mundane and obvious to us that we only use them without thinking about them. Finding new goals and forms in familiar tools, devices and concepts require patience and time But seeing the surprise on the audience’s face after watching my work is worth it all.

Although photography is sometimes difficult and can limit what I use in my photomontages, it’s fascinating and rewarding for me. I love sharing the personal connection that is in each element of my photos.

Like all artists, there are times when my creativity is blocked. I think it is impossible to be constantly creative. I have come to terms with the fact that I can not control when I am full of inspiration. And I learned from experience that inspiration comes in many forms. If I never had an idea for a photomontage, I probably would not have developed something that stimulates my imagination.

When I worked for others in offices and companies, I was overwhelmed and thought my creativity and existence were disappearing. Being an artist means being my own boss and managing my time, and making my own decisions. Of course, this is not always good; Because I often get very hard on myself, and I still have a long way to go.

My goal is to inspire and provide a unique angle to see the world we live in. When I realized that art is a way to express myself, I started looking for the best ways to share my work with people. For me, Instagram was a direct and fast way to share art with the world and get feedback quickly. In this popular social network, I was able to discover and follow many amazing artists. We all support each other and share some practical and interesting points. Instagram is an amazing digital community.

Manica’s advice for artists at any level is to do unique work, see the world with their own eyes, and invite people to watch it from their own perspective.

Many so-called artists only copy the works of other artists. I know I’ve not the only photomontage maker in the world, But I am always sure that I have come up with new concepts, and I have been able to differentiate myself from other artists in this field by using the photos I have taken. I get inspired by other artists but try to maintain your unique perspective on subjects and elements.
