A look at the images of Steve McCurry, the creator of the portrait of the Afghan girl

There Is Hardly Anyone Who Does Not Remember The Famous Portrait Of The Afghan Girl And The Sadness That Was Seen On The Innocent Face Of The Girl.

Let’s get to know more about Steve McCurry, the photographer of this and other photos, and his fantastic view of the world.

Few photographers are as well known for their outstanding work as Steve McCurryThe portrait of the Afghan girl brought him worldwide recognition. Still, all of his work, from the most special to the most unseen, speaks of his uncanny ability to capture emotions and capture them in unique portraits.

On April 6, 2015, an exhibition of the great artist’s four decades of activity, collecting 150 portraits of his works, called Oltre lo Sguardo, was held at the Villa Real di Monza in Italy. The video below, produced by Steve McCurry, explains, in his own words, his goals and work process, priorities, and concerns as a photographer.

This exhibition was organized by Civita Art Association and Sudest57 with the theme “Beyond Differences.” Steve McCurry’s thinking inspires this topic: photography allows us to look beyond our differences and connect regardless of where we come from.

In an interview with DesignBoom that took place before the exhibition, McCurry said:

“For me, a portrait means communication. You connect with a person in some way, visually or emotionally. I have always believed that the story of people’s lives is written on their faces. It’s incredible; the way you find in portrait photography to connect with a person is like walking down a mystical path. This isn’t easy to explain when you understand and have faced it.
