What are the Computer Graphics and kinds of it?

It is hard to display an image of any size on the computer screen. This method is simplified by using Computer graphics. Also, Graphics on the computer are produced by using various algorithms and techniques. This tutorial describes how a rich visual experience is provided to the user by explaining how all these are processed by the computer.

Definitions of Computer Graphics

Computer Graphics involves technology to access. The Process transforms and presents information in a visual form. The role of computer graphics is insensible. In today’s life, computer graphics has now become a common element in user interfaces, T.V. commercial motion pictures.

Computer Graphics is the creation of pictures with the help of a computer. Also, The end product of computer graphics is a picture it may be a business graph, drawing, and engineering.

In computer graphics, two or three-dimensional pictures can create that are used for research. Many hardware devices algorithm has been developed for improving the speed of picture generation with the passes of time. It includes the creation storage of models and images of objects. These models are for various fields like engineering, mathematics, and so on.

So Today computer graphics is entirely different from the earlier one. It is not possible. It is an interactive user that can control the structure of an object of various input devices.

The function of Computer Graphics

It is the use of computers to create and manipulate pictures on a display device. In addition, It comprises software techniques to create, store, modify, represent pictures.

Why do we need Computer Graphics?

Suppose a shoe manufacturing company wants to show the sale of shoes for five years. For this vast amount of information is to store. This method will be tough to understand by a common man. In this situation graphics is a better alternative. Graphics tools are charts and graphs. Using graphs, data can represent in pictorial form. A picture can understand easily just with a single look.

Interactive computer graphics work using the concept of two-way communication between computer users. The computer will receive signals from the input device, and the picture is modified accordingly. The picture will be changed quickly when we apply the command.

So let’s acquaint with the Types of Computer Graphics

Computer graphics can be 2D or 3D. They are different. People use different computer software’s to make different kinds of graphics

Types of Computer Graphics

2D graphics

2D graphics are divided into two categories. Vector graphics and raster graphics.

Vector Graphics

So Vector graphics use geometrical objects, like points, lines, curves, and polygons, to create a complex image.  Vector graphics are made with programs like Adobe illustrator and inks cape and were used for some older computer games. Today, these software’s are often used when computer graphics have to be printed out.

Raster Graphics

Raster graphics use pixels to make up a larger image, it does not mean that the artist has to change a pixel at a time-taster program often have tools like paintbrushes, eraser, and Also paint buckets to take a picture. Programs used to make these include Adobe Photoshop and coral paint shop pro. Images that are difficult to make in the form of a raster image.

3D graphics

3d graphics are graphics that look like images because they are three-dimensional. This means the computer thinks it has a height, a length, and depth, and displays them like this.

Images have existed for hundreds of years, dating back to the Stone Age. However, with time passing on, the human race evolved, and so did their products, including art. And while images were mostly in two dimensions, classified by their width and height, with the begging of the computer age, images very soon gained a third dimension – depth.

3D animation

3D animation was introduced shortly after 3D images became popular and played an important role in the promotion of 3D graphics. Used in movies and video games, 3D images provided a different perspective and allowed the creators much more possibilities. They could now create images and animations using computers, which would be too costly or simply impossible if they had to be created by real people.

Software, such as 3D Studio Max (now 3ds Max) and Maya were able to create complex images with almost no effort and very fast.

3D image

The first 3D image software solutions were very expensive and accessible only to a selective group of people. With the popularization of 3D art, open-source software 3D image editors were created, such as Blender and Geist3D, which allowed everyone to use software, almost as powerful as the paid solutions, such as 3D Studio Max. This inspired a lot of small-time designers to create 3D images and very soon the Internet was full of 3D art.

3D art is divided mainly into two streams – abstract art and generic art. The abstract 3D images represent unthinkable shapes and designs, which are almost impossible to be drawn by hand. They quickly gained popularity among a lot of Internet users, who were by then tired of the graphical designs.

Generic 3D art represents real-life objects and shapes. While abstract 3D art has only aesthetic value, generic 3D images are used in a lot of websites as part of the web page design and also as technical illustrations.

 conclusion

Therefore in this article, we talked about Computer Graphics and kinds of it such as 2D graphics and 3D graphics and everything about it and we hope you’ve learned Sth about it.
