The Ryzen 9 7945HX processor has 12 cores and 24 threads and combines AMD’s desktop and laptop platforms. This processor is supposed to be used on the best high-end laptops. AMD has announced that the Ryzen 9 7945HX processor operates at fewer than 55 watts of thermal design power.

The most powerful processor of the 7x45HX series has 16 cores but has not yet been tested. It must be said that there is not much information about the performance of Intel’s HX series laptop processors, and we have to wait a few more days for this.

Ryzen 9 7945HX processor benchmark

Currently, the Ryzen 9 7945HX processor has to be considered the fastest processor tested for laptops. This processor scored 46791 in the multi-core section of the PassMark test.

In the single-core area, 4003 points have been obtained.

Compared to the previous generation processor, Ryzen 6900HX, with eight cores, the new processor has shown up to 90% better performance in the multi-core section and up to 17% better in the single-core section. The Ryzen 9 7945HX is also 3% and 43% better than the Core i9-12900HX. However, Intel’s 13th-generation processors have more cores and can change the result in their favor.

The first products equipped with the Ryzen 9 7945HX processor are scheduled to be released this month. The Ryzen 7000 series for laptops consists of 6, 8, 12, and 16-core processors and achieves a boost frequency of 5.4 GHz.
