At The 2021 World Landscape Photographer Competition, Six Images Won, And Felix Sproll Won The  Competition With An Image Entitled “Atlantic Winter Storm Reaches Ireland”.

The World Landscape Photographers Competition  Was Founded In 2020 By Landscape Photographer Nigel Danson. Danson Says:

This competition aims to raise as much money as possible for charity and at the same time to gather the best nature photographers from all over the world in one round.

The competition was initially scheduled to be held only once in 2020. Still, because of the success in the first year, Danson decided to repeat it and make a more significant impact by donating the money raised from the competition to environmental events.

More than 1,400 photographers took part in the 2021 World Landscape Photography Competition. A total of 6512 images were submitted for judging. After completing all the work, only six shots and the overall winning image won the award.

  • Photo caption: Atlantic winter storm arrives in Ireland

I had visited the rough seas of this region several times off the west coast of Ireland. The last time I was here after a big storm; But the waves did not look as big and scary as I wanted them to; So when another big winter storm started, I went back to this area and got what I wanted, even though the wind was strong and the weather was cold. The water droplets that were scattering around prevented me from seeing properly. With the ever-changing turbulent sea, it wasn’t easy to choose a theme or composition. As the wind blew the waves ashore, I enjoyed experiencing the power of nature and did not worry too much about the photos. When I was searching on the beach, I finally came across this scene. The actual size of the waves can detect in front of the rocks. Some of these waves even climbed higher than the cliffs, and collisions with subsequent waves sent them up even higher.

Proper spring conditions in the ancient Chiltern Hills beech forest can be an ethereal experience. I first encountered this small, intimate scene earlier this year and was drawn to the wrinkled trunks of beech trees. I was very anxious to see this scene again in the spring. The beautiful green colour of the young beech leaves, along with the attractive branches of the blueberry plant, all covered by a thin layer of fog, was certainly worth the patience. This image immediately caught the eye because of its visual beauty.

Nightingale is famous among plant photographers, But it is rare to see a photo that uses them with such delicacy. The main composition of the image is on the shower of fresh forest greens. Seeing the blue of the blueberries in the corners of the image is magical. There are many pictures of forests, But this combination is delightful and perfect.

At the time of the tide after sunset, the Lacher River on the north side of the Gore Peninsula in South Wales. The changing tides reflect the sky in the calm waters of the river canals.

I love the sparkling tones and pastel beauty of this image. The dreamy composition and colours of this scene quickly attract the audience.

Frozen drops of seawater splash on the fishing rods of Fonen Island in the Danish archipelago. Phone means where the wind blows. On this cold morning, when the current cuts the skin, this name seems very appropriate.

It was snowing all night in Finland this autumn. The following day, the landscape turned into a vast white canvas with many green and yellow brushes painted on it. Above this Prescott scene was the flight of flocks of migrating birds to southern Europe.
