Winners of the 2021 iPhone photography awards
IPPAWARDS, The First And Longest-Running iPhone Photography Competition, Has Announced The Winners Of Its 14th Annual International Competition.
Among the photos submitted for this year’s iPhone photography competition ( IPPAWARDS ), some fantastic images were captured with just an iPhone or iPad and two creative eyes. This contest welcomes all photos taken with any iPhone or iPad model.
Participants can use an attachment lens and any iPhone or iPad editing app, but Photoshop or other desktop image processing programs are not permitted.
The 2021 IPPAWARDS competition received thousands of entries from photographers worldwide in 18 categories.
Participants competed for the title of iPhone Photographer of the Year and won one of 18 gold bars and 36 platinum bars from the world’s most famous private mint. The winner of each category will be awarded a gold bar, and the second and third places of each type will be awarded a platinum bar.
The works of the top winners and the first, second, and third-place winners of each group will also be published in the IPPAWARDS online gallery.
The winner of this year’s grand prize and the photographer of the year award was given to Hungarian journalist-photographer Istvan Kerekes for the picture ” Shepherds of Transylvania.” IPPAWARDS says about this image:
In this photo, two shepherds with indifferent faces while holding a pair of lambs pass through a rough industrial landscape. The roughness of the men and the coldness of the environment against the hope and innocence of the lambs under their care has created an impressive contrast.
The first prize for the photographer of the year went to Sharan Shetty from India for the image ” Link.”
Second place award went to China’s Dan Liu for his untitled image of an astronaut traversing a desolate Martian landscape, and the third-place prize went to Jeff Reiner of the United States for his photo “Walking on Air.”
