wild dignity; 30 magnificent images of Icelandic horses

In This Article, We Share 30 Magnificent Images Of Icelandic Horses And Some Of The Popular Photos Of Liepina.

Liga Liepina captures beautiful photos of horses in natural landscapes. He has been in love with horses and landscape photography since he was a child, and as an adult, he created magnificent images by combining his skills and interest. Liga Liepina spends all her free time photographing horses.

He was born in the Republic of Latvia and moved to Iceland at 14. Liga says she has been passionate about horses ever since she can remember. Her interest in horses began when she started clipping pictures of them from newspapers and collecting horse posters and calendars, and when she took her first riding lesson, she realized that horses would be a big part of her life.

Liga says about his first experiences with photography:

Photography came to me when I was a teenager. I enjoyed playing with my little digital camera and taking pictures of the scenery. Time passed until I bought my first professional camera to pursue landscape photography more seriously. As horses were such a beautiful part of my daily life, they were more and more in front of my camera until my path ended up in horse photography.

Instead of focusing on horse portraits, I was looking for something more exciting and different; In this way, I created my photography style with a combination of passion for horses and the stunning landscapes of Iceland. Icelandic horses are unique in their way. They are very cooperative and brave, But they are wild at heart. I try to capture this rugged splendor in my photos.

A lot of effort is made into creating images like this. Minus moving the horses to the photography location, one of the difficulties of Liga’s work is the unpredictability of Iceland’s weather. From getting the idea to bringing the horses to the desired locations, access must be as safe as possible for the animals and the area.

Liga says that all the hard work is worth the result, and spending time with the horse models in nature and seeing how they complement each other alongside the scenery doubles the fun.
