Why Is Rockstar No Longer Paying Attention To Story Dlcs?

Play GTA 4, The Successful Experience Of The Story DLC Is Still A Lot Of Fans For A Story DLC For GTA 5, And Red Dead Redemption 2 Is.

GTA 5 was released in 2013 and was an incredible success for Rockstar in sales and critics. Many fans expected Rockstar Studios to release a story DLC for the game, at least to date. Unfortunately, this has not happened until the writing of this article and to this day. Instead, Rockstar has focused on online gaming mode and support for GTA Online.

Similarly, Red Dead Redemption 2 was released in 2018, and since then, fans of this stunning Western-style game have been hoping to release a story expansion pack from Rockstar for this open-air game.

Of course, Rockstar has released Red Dead Online instead of new story content for a huge fan base.

It seems unlikely that we will see a story expansion pack for the game; Because Rockstar’s current focus is on online support for these games and possibly new games for release.

Many modern AAA games also feature story DLC when introduced, usually after release, usually at intervals, and sometimes for free. Still, Rockstar Games fans expect the DLC to be released due to the quality of Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2. For those who are probably wondering why this is so?

All they have to do is look at the quality of the add-on packages released by Rockstar Games.

The DLC of some of its previous games, especially Grand Theft Auto 4, seems to be the main reason for the fans’ desire to continue the DLC release process for Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2.

After the unveiling, Grand Theft Auto 4 came with two large add-on packs, which helped fans extend the game life and provide higher quality gameplay so that fans could continue to be immersed in the game’s pure gameplay and story.

The Grand Theft Auto 4 expansion packs also enriched the world of these franchises by introducing some of the characters that we later saw in GTA 5.

When you look at the popularity of GTA 4 expansion packs, you probably won’t be surprised because Rockstar Games fans want the company to release similar content for GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2.

Wandering and cursed

The first single-player DLC for Grand Theft Auto 4 was released in 2009 as Grand Theft Auto 4: The Lost and the Damned. In this add-on pack, players take on the form of Johnny Kolbitz, the same motorcyclist who previously appeared on one of Grand Theft Auto 4’s main missions.

Basically, as a short story campaign, this add-on package made major improvements to the GTA 4 formula to make it a more immersive and better experience for gamers.

Grand Theft Auto 4:

The Lost and the Damned improved game quality compared to other games by adding checkpoints to missions. Before The Lost and the Damned, none of the Grand Theft Auto games used checkpoints, which meant that if you failed a mission in the game or if your character died in the game, you had to do it all over again.

This improvement in gameplay was later accepted and implemented by all future GTA games. The Lost and the Damned is essential to the Grand Theft Auto franchise in general.

In addition to creating this important quality in improving the gameplay, Grand Theft Auto 4: The Lost and the Damned also added significant new content.

These included new activities, new hobbies at Liberty City, new vehicles, new side games, new mini-games, and more. Grand Theft Auto 4 originally added content related to the game by creating a story with a motorcycle theme.

Johnny participated in various activities and missions of Grand Theft Auto 4:

The Lost and the Damned, which members of his motorcycle gang often accompanied. This was in stark contrast to Grand Theft Auto 4 protagonist Nico Bleach, who usually performed missions alone in the main game.

In any case, Johnny’s relationship with his gang members can be influenced by their skills in carrying out collective missions. Johnny can also spend time with some gang members outside of missions.

Grand Theft Auto 4:

The Lost and the Damned focused primarily on expanding the GTA 4 single-player experience, but that did not mean completely missing out on new multiplayer content.

Unlike The Lost and the Damned, it added a variety of new multiplayer mini-games for fans to check and measure through to ensure a great DLC for every aspect of the game.

Rockstar’s effort for Grand Theft Auto 4:

The Lost and the Damned made this add-on pack a whole new experience from the GTA game series, proving its level above the DLC of other games and giving you a lot of value. Rockstar will probably make the same effort for the DLC for GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2. For this reason, fans want to see if the company has made a similar DLC for these titles.

Yet wandering and cursing is only half the story.

An elegy for Tony’s problems

A few months after Grand Theft Auto 4:

The Lost and the Damned, another DLC, was released for the game. The players in this expansion pack called the Ballad of G * y Tony, played the role of Luis Fernando Lopez, one of Tony’s personal bodyguards.

Just as The Lost and the Damned improved gameplay quality by adding a checkpoint to the game, Ballad of Gay Tony introduced mission points, along with a host of other content, to the Grand Theft Auto series for home consoles.

While the Grand Theft Auto 4:

Ballad of Gay Tony’s add-on pack included new missions for players to do, and it focused more on introducing new side activities to players.

Two of the most important are the fighting club that Luis can participate in, and the other was the in-game mini-game base jumping, which was well received by gamers. Like The Lost and the Damned, The Ballad of G * y Tony, players can also look for new types of in-game multiplayer mini-games.

With the Grand Theft Auto 4:

The Ballad of Gay Tony expansion pack, Rockstar Games Studios, brought it back into the limelight and won critical acclaim for the expansion pack; While this game was still successful as a complete high-quality product, regardless of its DLC nature.

Two add-on packages, The Lost and the Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony, established Rockstar as a leading company in releasing a quality story add-on pack. Therefore, it is surprising that the company has not yet taken similar action on GTA 5 or Red Dead Redemption 2 to date.

Ghost Nightmares

Speaking of Red Dead Redemption, it’s worth noting that the first version of the game also received an acclaimed DLC, which added to the current desire of GTA 5 and RDR 2 fans to get the expansion pack. After the game’s release, support for Red Dead Redemption was not as impressive as in GTA 4.

Still, the Undead Nightmare expansion pack added zombies to the Western and open-world worlds and presented an exciting story in the game’s lawless world for fans to watch.

The Undead Nightmare expansion pack for Red Dead Redemption became very popular at the time, so it makes sense for fans to want to see something similar in Red Dead Redemption 2.

There were rumors that Rockstar was planning an Undead Nightmare event for Red Dead Redemption 2 for Halloween, but these rumors have not yet come true, and Rockstar himself has not reacted.

Of course, there is still a demand from fans for Undead Nightmare or some single DLC for Red Dead Redemption 2. So we hope that this will finally happen at some point in history.

For now, Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 players can wait for new online content released by the studio.

In the online section, games from small content to more significant offers such as the Grand Theft Auto Online Cayo Perico Heist update are waiting for gamers to experience. Of course, the second offer adds an island for players to explore.

If you are eager to re-experience Grand Theft Auto 4 and its add-ons, you can experience the game on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. GTA 4 can also play on Xbox One, Xbox X, and S consoles, thanks to the Xbox Backward feature.
