Use SYNC PASSPHRASE to increase the security of Chrome browser

If you are one of the people who use Chrome browser and information security is a priority for you, the SYNC PASSPHRASE feature in Chrome will undoubtedly be useful for you.

Chrome is the most popular browser around the world and among users because it is fast and smooth, supports thousands of applications, synchronizes your data between different devices and platforms, and so on.

On the other hand, Google is making great efforts to maintain its security by providing constant updates. But in the meantime, you can also play an effective role in maintaining the security of Chrome. So we decided to introduce you to a practical trick to increase the security of Chrome browser called SYNC PASSPHRASE.

What is the SYNC PASSPHRASE tool?

If you sign in to Chrome with your Google Account, your data on the browser (such as bookmarks, passwords, etc.) will be synced across all your devices. Therefore, if a hacker accesses your email, the security of all your data will be lost. You can use the SYNC PASSPHRASE tool to solve this problem.

This feature is basically a secondary type of password that starts by encrypting data types that are on Google’s servers and decrypts the data when it is needed on devices. Now, since you only have this secondary password, you will not be able to access your Chrome browser information, even if your Google Account information is leaked.

How to activate the SYNC PASSPHRASE tool

To activate the SYNC PASSPHRASE tool, just follow the steps below:

1- Enter the Chrome browser Setting section .

2. Go to the Sync and Google serviced section .

3. In the Encryption options section , select the second option, Encrypt synced data with your own sync passphrase , according to the image .

4- Now you have to enter the password you want and then confirm.

5. You should do this on your other devices as well so that your data is still available in sync on all devices.
