Google Is Trying To Turn Muisclm Artificial Intelligence Into A Responsible Tool In Collaboration With Musicians.
Artificial intelligence is almost everywhere, and now it looks like music will be the next frontier. A new artificial intelligence pilot program has been developed to turn users’ ideas into pieces.
Labs Product Manager Christine Yeem and Google Research Director Huma Manikawasagam announced that registration for MusicLM has begun. This program is currently offered as a trial and converts users’ text messages into music. For example, if you type Soulful Jazz for a dinner party, it will play exactly that style of music.
MusicLM is not much different from Google’s Bard chatbot or Microsoft’s Bing; You enter text, and the artificial intelligence provides the result based on that.
According to Androidauthority, MusicLM’s artificial intelligence takes text messages and offers two versions of the same song. Users can then listen to both songs and rate the best version. This method reportedly helps the AI model improve its music production capabilities.
As with other AI applications, there are concerns that MusicLM could be used as a tool to harm artists. However, Google claims that by collaborating with musicians and hosting workshops, it is trying to take advantage of the said technology to enhance the creativity of artists.
