Microsoft redesigned the Photos app last year to be more compatible with the design language of the Windows 11 operating system, however, as The Verge writes, the process of testing the newer version of Photos has already begun. Apparently, this version has a new design and additional improvements.
The most noticeable change to Photos at first glance is the new gallery view. In this new view, you get access to a new way to search among images. Microsoft says the new look is designed to make it easier to search and find images.
The new Photos application applies a series of changes to the Memories section. Microsoft has not yet announced the details of these changes.
The new Photos app has a big weakness; With the release of the new Photos, you will no longer be able to use the video editing tools available in the current version of Photos.
Microsoft recommends using Clipchamp for editing video content.
Microsoft has included the Clipchamp application in Windows 11 since the end of 1400. Clipchamp was acquired by Microsoft last year.

If you are still interested in the previous version of Photos, you can download it from the Microsoft online store. The Redmonds have made this version available under the name Microsoft Photos Legacy .
The new version of the Photos app is now available to Windows Insider users through the developer channel. Next month, we will see the release of this application to the public.
Microsoft has just announced the new Surface event on October 20 . Perhaps the new Photos will be available simultaneously as the Surfaces are unveiled.
