According To Published Reports, Mcafee Has Identified Several Malicious Programs In The Google Play Store.

These apps, downloaded over 100 million times, collect information from users’ smartphones without permission.

This security company has warned users to immediately delete the mentioned applications from their smartphones.

A new Android malware called Goldoson has infiltrated the Google Play app store through 60 reputable apps that have been downloaded more than 100 million times. This nasty malware is part of a third-party library used by all 60 apps whose designers have unknowingly added the targeted code to their apps.

According to the McAfee research team that identified Goldsun, this malware can collect information about installed applications, devices connected to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and the user’s location. Additionally, it can commit ad fraud by clicking ads in the context without user consent.

Google has recently removed 36 malicious Android apps from the Google Play store. These applications performed actions without users’ permission on their devices. McAfee has detected these programs.
