The Winners Of The World Nature Photography Competition Were Announced

The Third Round Of The International Nature Photography Competition, With Works From 45 Countries, Has Ended With The Introduction Of Its Winners In Various Fields.

World Nature Photography Awards (WNPA) is an annual global nature photography competition.

This competition is one of the world’s largest and most prominent nature photography competitions. Its purpose is to encourage professional photographers and photography enthusiasts to capture and display the beauty of nature around the globe. This competition is held in more than ten different categories.

The organizers hold this yearly competition to encourage people worldwide to have different perspectives and change their behavior and decisions to benefit the planet and its other inhabitants. The organizers also plant a tree with the money they receive as entry fees from the participants.

The Disciplines Of The World Nature Photography Competition (WNPA) Are As Follows:

1. Wildlife
2. Birds
3. plants
4. Underwater
5. Sea and beach
6. Temples and local cultures
7. Natural scenery
8. Nature observation (for night vision cameras)
9. Natural mapping (for uncrewed flights)
10. Little known,

All these categories are prepared to highlight the various beauties of nature worldwide.
The 2023 World Nature Photography Contest winner is German Jens Kollmann, who took the winning image below.

Crocodiles are well known for their quick strikes and ferocious strength, but Coleman’s Danger in the Mud photo, taken in Zimbabwe, highlights their other key weapon: patience.

When the temperature reaches 45 degrees Celsius in the dry season, crocodiles try to bury themselves in the mud with fat reserves for up to a month to lower their body temperature.

Another item that caught our eye was The Ghost of the Rocks, which won the Gold Award in the Behaviour-Invertebrates category. Spain’s Javier Hrantz used a long exposure for this shot to transform a wave passing over a red lobster into a misty, atmospheric veil.

Then there is the extraordinary work of Japan’s Norihiro Ikuma, who takes us to an underwater landscape like an alien planet with the photo Ride on You below. We also see the superimposed Japanese, which portrays a powerful and attractive pose.

Antonio Coelho from Portugal, who won the bronze award in the category of plants and fungi with the photograph “Misty Morning,” is another example that shows that sometimes a different perspective on Earth can create very other beauty.

You can see this year’s selected photos in the gallery below. After the announcement of the winners of the 2023 contest, it will be possible for the following year’s tournament participants to submit their work. Those interested can submit their work here for the competition. The entry fee for this competition is 30 British pounds.
