SpaceX’s unveiling of V2 Mini satellites

SpaceX has recently unveiled and launched its new generation of Starlink satellites called V2 Mini. The small satellites of the second generation of Starlink, with their smaller dimensions, have a capacity of 4 times compared to the previous generations.

The new model of the second generation of Starlink satellites, called the V2 Mini, is a compact version of the V2 that can be launched into orbit by the Falcon 9 rocket. SpaceX said: “The V2 Mini satellites have more advanced antennas and use the E-band network, which allows Starlink to provide four times the capacity compared to the previous generation.

SpaceX has not yet announced the data transfer speed of the V2 Mini satellites, but the first generation of the company’s satellites has a capacity of 17 to 23 Gbps. The mini-satellites of the second generation are more significant than the first generation, and their weight has reached 800 kg and is 4.1 meters wide.

In addition, Starlink has officially introduced its Internet roaming service, which is the first realization of providing Internet in all parts of the planet without restrictions.

In a statement sent to its users in e-mails and messages, Starlink announced that this service would be activated at a monthly cost of $200 and plans to use laser communication technology between the company’s satellites to provide Internet access around the globe. It is available in almost all parts of the world.
