The Sharp Aquos R7 Was Introduced With A Brightness Of 2000 Nits

Sharp Unveiled The Flagship Aquos R7 In Japan Today, May 7, With A Snapdragon 8 Gen1 Processor And A 2000-Inch 1-Inch Light Sensor.

As its annual routine, the Japanese company Sharp introduced the flagship phone of this brand to the market.

Although the company is not very active in the smartphone market, the flagship phones it introduces are usually equipped with a unique feature that attracts a lot of users. For example, the Aquos R6, unveiled last year, was the first phone to use a 1-inch camera sensor.

The flagship phone of 2022 is called Sharp Aquos R7, and according to Sparrowsnews, it will be launched in August. The phone features a 6.6-inch OLED display equipped with WUXGA + Pro technology with a variable refresh rate of 1 to 240 Hz, a maximum brightness of 2000 nits, 1 billion colors, compatibility with Dolby vision, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus (Corning Gorilla Glass Victus).

The Aquos R7 Smart Camera supports Color Matching, outdoor Vision, ‌ AI Super Resolution, virtual HDR, and the ability to insert images and a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the display. The pixel size of the Aquos R7‌ reaches 3.2 micrometers thanks to the new sensor of this phone. This size increases the light-gathering capacity by about 1.8 times the Aquos R6. Increasing the number of pixels from 20.2 megapixels to 47.2 megapixels can capture better high-resolution images.

The Aquos R7 supports Octa PD autofocus, which doubles the focus speed compared to the Aquos R6.

In addition, the camera uses artificial intelligence to detect people, faces, and eyes automatically and is claimed to be 1.5 times faster than the Aquos R6.
