During the Summer Slam event, 2K showed the fans the first trailer of WWE 2K22 and announced its release date.

WWE 2K games are usually released in the fall, but 2K plans to release a new version in the spring. There is not much information about WWE 2K22 and its various modes, and 2K will do so in January 2022. 

The WWE 2K22 superstar and in-game wrestlers will also reveal in the future. You can watch the released trailer below:

The latest version of this game series is WWE 2K20, which had a terrible launch, and the feedback from fans and critics was very negative. WWE 2K20 had a lot of technical issues and was full of funny bugs. Although the game developer tried to fix the problems with various updates, the gameplay did not improve. This gave 2K a break for the franchise for a year.

In the midst of developing WWE 2K20, Yukes Studios decided to end its collaboration with Visual Concepts Studios. Therefore, Visual Concepts studio had to release the game on the desired date alone. This was the main reason for the WWE 2K20 technical problems, as they couldn’t delay the game.

 The game’s director, Lynell Jinks, said:

All the game systems, all the codes and all the art assets had to be in the game through us. It was our job to make sure we understood everything in the game from the front to the end, right? For 20 years there was Yukes code, Yukes art, Yukes activity that we had to separate and understand.

WWE 2K22 will be released in March 2022 (March to April) for PC, Xbox X Series, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4.
