These animals attract all your attention. They can make even the most emotional of people feel better about themselves. A recent study found that dog owners experience less loneliness and fear and are more outgoing than people who don’t have dogs. Ten years ago, Noodles and my other dog, Scott, alerted me that my wife had passed out in the bathroom. According to the doctor’s diagnosis, my wife had a severe cerebral hemorrhage due to the rupture of an aneurysm. I would have found him much later if it hadn’t been for the dogs. Thanks to my dogs and thanks to the doctors, my wife survived.
