Snake Eyes Review: GI Joe Origins – The Not So Powerful Start Of A New Franchise

Snake Eyes: GI Joe Origins, Directed By Robert Schuntke, Is About To Launch A New Franchise. The Title, As Its Name Suggests, Has A Very Basic Approach And Focuses On Jiajoo’s Most Popular Character, Snake Eyes, And The Past Life Of Snake Eyes (Henry Golding) And How He Transformed From The Blood Brother Of Shadow Of The Storm (Andrew Koji). Defines His Enemy.

Snake Eyes Narrated primarily in Tokyo and Japan, it tells the mythical story of the Arshikij ninja tribe and introduces a new villain named Kanta (Takahiro.

Oh, You. Joe Went  Silent After The Release Of  GI Joe: Retaliation In 2013. A Few Years Passed, And No One Thought We Would Hear About This Action Series Again Until Finally The Title  Snake Eyes: GI Joe Origins  Was Introduced.

This film is actually the third part of the GI film series. Joe is considered to be made after titles such as GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra ( GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra ) and GI Joe: Retaliation (GI Joe: Retaliation) and was released on July 23, 2021.

It is said that Paramount Studios wants to take a new path in collaboration with Hasbro, and the new destination is nowhere but the action and sensational world of Jay.

Now with the release of Snake Eyes, we have to see what decisions Paramount will make to make the sequel to GI Joe.

The film focuses on the mysterious past of Snake Eyes (played by Henry Goulding) and depicts his life as a young boy who witnesses the murder of his father to become a solo warrior.

He joins them as a new member of the Kentucky-led Yakuza (Takehiro Hira), and Kenta promises to find the person who killed Snake Eyes’ father. However, Snake Eyes joins Tommy (Andrew Koji) and is forced to return to his home in Japan with Tommy to pursue an enemy he has with Kenta.

There he faces three challenges to prove himself as the newest warrior of the Arshikij tribe. Meanwhile, Kenta allies Baroness (Ursula Corbiru) and starts a war with the Arshikage tribe, so Tommy is forced to turn to Jay’s allies. Oh, you. Joe, Scarlett (Samara Weaving) go.

Along with Akiko, security commander (Haruka Abe), Snake and Tommy’s eyes go to Kenta and Baroness.

Perhaps Snake Eyes’ greatest strengths are its unique action scenes, which occur very quickly and electrically and seem confusing. The director uses too much of the camera shake to excite the audience. But when it comes to Snake Eyes and his struggles, the film’s special effects flourish in earnest.

The glamorous action of the film is shown at appropriate distances and, in some cases, even helps to fill the film’s story gap with clashes between Snake Eyes and its enemies.

In general, there were more expectations from the potential character of Snake Eyes because, despite its full-fledged script, we could even see three separate films, which did not happen, and only one film centered on the hero’s character Jay. Oh, you. Barley (Snake Eyes) produces.

Goulding and Koji did their best to play the roles they were given, and together they look like a powerful and entertaining couple.

In addition, Golding has many opportunities to shine in the action genre, and his charismatic and passionate personality allows him to cope well with challenging roles.

But the performance of the female actors is not interesting, Samara Weaving, who plays the role of Scarlett, has played a dry and ordinary role, and other characters such as Akiko (Haruka Abe) are completely aimless and only try to help the male actors in the film.

In fact, it seems that because the film is based entirely on the character of Snake Eyes, the other actors and characters are so far removed that this is a weakness for the film.

In terms of whether this film could be a good start for future new franchises, given the current state of filmmaking in Hollywood, anything is likely.

While the main focus of Snake Eyes is on this character and adventure, it seems that the studio intends to explore Jay’s background by making a trilogy fully. Oh, you. Joe, even before this film joins it.

Some audiences may find these films boring, but they will be very effective for those unfamiliar with past films.

Finally, this film can start a new franchise and is an exciting summer blockbuster and entertainment for the action genre audience.

Although it can not be considered one of the strongest films for the beginning of the new series, overall, it has many features that make the audience watch this two-hour film without fatigue and to the end.

Snake Eyes may not be what Hasbro and Paramount expected, but it is a thrilling film of its kind that will no doubt satisfy action-movie fans.

Hira) is the leader of the Yakuza and an ally of the Cobra.

In this movie, Tim Jay. Oh, you. Joe and Cobra already exist and are led by Scarlett (Samara Weaving) and Baroness (Ursula Corbero), respectively, and there is no need to identify these groups.

The film also devotes part of the story to the common past of the two female leaders.
