The Architectural Photography Competition (APA) Has Announced The Winners Of Its 2021 Annual Competition.

Since its inception in 2012, APA has promoted architectural photography through the World Architecture Festival (WAF), the largest annual international architecture event. This year, the architectural photography competition was sponsored by WAF and Aluprof UK.
APA writes:
Images of the built world are everywhere. We can see buildings in financial, automotive, travel, etc. advertisements. These structures are used beyond the world of architecture and design.
This organization aims to raise awareness about the skill and ability of photographers who interpret and explain the character, details, and environment in two dimensions, legible and conceptual.

APA founder Lynn Bryant says the idea behind the contest was to give people a reason to look deeper and longer at images and slow down their scrolling. This is especially common today, where an onslaught of images like Instagram surrounds the audience.
Bryant says:
Architecture is much more than a set of walls. Architecture is layered and has a purpose.
With this in mind, Bryant hopes to allow the audience to slow down, learn from the images while viewing them, and appreciate the work of the photographers and architects.
