Spider-Man Comic

Review Of The Spider-Man Comic: The Spider’s Shadow

You May Be One Of Those Audiences Who Did Not Know That Venom Was Originally Added To Marvel Comics Not As A Character, But As A Costume!

Spider-Man Comic took a while for the costume to find its identity, become a venom, and eventually pursue a career in comics as one of Spider-Man’s violins.

But now Spider-Man: The Spider’s Shadow comic has moved on to an interesting theory.

In the comic book Spider-Man: The Spider’s Shadow, we see that the usual trend of the Marvel universe has changed, and Peter Parker does not give up his space costume.

Thus, assuming, “What if Spider-Man was Venom?” We get to the comic story of Spider-Man: The Spider’s Shadow.

Probably with the What If series? Get to know Marvel. If you are unfamiliar, I have to say that in these comics, a relatively small change in Marvel events and narratives affects the entire Marvel universe, and the course of many events takes place differently, in a parallel world.

Spider-Man comics:

The Spider’s Shadow follows almost the same trend, but with the format, or rather, the question of the What If? Not included in the title.

In this comic, we see that Peter Parker, unlike the mainstream of Marvel comics, does not give up his space costume and works with it for a longer period of time.

The prolonged combination of Venom and Spider-Man also affects Peter Parker’s mind; Dark and negative effects. Basically, the first pages of this series begin with Peter Parker’s nightmare, in which we see him frustrated with the way he works and the language of his loved ones. Peter finds his pain medicine in more superhero activity; By wearing a symbiote that affects the psyche.

The combination that Spider-Man and Sibimut Venom are creating as his new outfit, as you can probably guess, is not consistent with the behavior and way young Peter Parker works.

However, Peter’s interest in holding this space suit leads his life into a very dark twist that we know less about.

Peter Parker, who usually portrays a young man with a lively appearance and when he wears the mask of Spider-Man, even in the most difficult conditions, tries to maintain his fresh spirit, becomes a long-term combination with Venom, who with Peter Parker Famous miles away.

Thanks to Venom, all the inner conflicts, and worries we know about Peter are poured out, and now we are on the side of a Spider-Man who is violent, angry, and frustrated even from the outside.

We can introduce all these feelings of Peter as the mainline of Spider-Man: The Spider’s Shadow comics. A comic that takes the famous Spider-Man and delivers a dark version of him.

The Spider-Man’s biggest change comes when, in a very tragic event for Peter, Venom finally uses the flames of rage inside him to make Spider-Man take the path of destroying his rivals.

You read that right, and we are now on the side of a Spider-Man who is combined with Venom and has any problem with murder.

In this way, the story unfolds in such a way that you suddenly feel that you do not want this Peter Parker to succeed. You do not want the protagonist to achieve his goals. Rather, you want those standing in front of it to be able to stop Spider-Man / Venom. Maybe, in a way, Marvel’s beloved hero will return and become the same Spider-Man forever. A wonderful yet engaging contrast.

Spider-Man comic:

The Spider’s Shadow engages the audience well and encourages the reader to continue with small hints of future events.

But in the last issues, especially the last issue of the comic, the audience’s involvement is minimized; Exactly where the excitement should have been for the audience.

You do not feel at all on despite using some of Marvel’s most important characters and heroes, such as Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, X-Men, Shea Hulk, and many other characters at the end of the story side of a big event. All these great characters are so marginalized that their fate will not matter to you in the slightest.

You might say that, well, the comic is about Spider-Man, and it would make sense if the events surrounding Peter Parker were the main focus of the story and pushed it forward. But I must say that even Spider-Man himself does not do much at the height of the comics.

Everything, where it should be the story’s climax, is summed up in a series of chases and ups and downs.

Except for the final violin phase of the story, nothing big happens, we do not experience exciting struggles, and an exciting secret is not revealed.

However, no matter how small the story’s climax, the narrative that led to this part of the story will be remembered. Even the final part of Spider-Man:

The Spider’s Shadow can be somewhat satisfying for many; Although not perfect.

Perhaps more important than the story, Peter’s relationships with other characters and his feelings for them have made the comic attractive.

What destructive feelings towards the violins and those who have been against Spider-Man and now have multiplied thanks to Venom, and what constructive feelings make us believe that Venom is an awkward patch for Spider-Man that we want to get rid of? As soon as possible…

With all of this and a fairly intriguing storyline that can be very enjoyable and different for Spider-Man fans, we get a lot of frustration about the comic’s visual side.

Maybe at the beginning of the story and the first issues of the comic, we do not have much trouble with its illustration, in any case, it is a monthly mini-series, and it is a narration of a parallel world; So we should not expect a visual masterpiece (which, if it were, would be admirable).

But as we move on with the story and see how compelling Spider-Man:

The Spider’s Shadow narrative is, it just begins to feel why no more effort has been put into the illustrations.

Most designs are straightforward and low in detail. Of course, I’m not just talking about short characters. In addition to complementary characters, even Spider-Man / Peter Parker is drawn in the simplest possible way in many of the paintings. Something very frustrating.

On the other hand, these poor designs are part of the reason for the weakness of the story’s climax. Sometimes the plot and design in the action sequences are done to not really know what is going on.

Sometimes the sequence of panels is not followed properly, and you do not understand exactly how the previous panel got to the current panel. The lack of detail in the paintings mentioned also exacerbates these weaknesses.

Although we see various color palettes in most parts of the comic, the coloring is not done properly. In most cases, you will feel that a color filter has been added to all the colors used on each page, which has lost the sense and even the existence of the colors used.

It is also not uncommon to see different colors for a fixed visual agent.

The most important and obvious thing about Spider-Man himself is when he wears his original costume without Venom. In one, we deal with Spider-Man, who is dressed in red and blue, but even at a distance from a panel and without any particular environmental change, Spider-Man is suddenly dressed in red and black.

Of course, the situation is worse than these professions; Especially for side and complementary characters. In some cases, even the comic book illustrators and painters did not bother to shade the colors, and it was as if they had emptied the paint bucket at the engraved borders with the paint bucket tool.

In general, the story of Spider-Man:

The Spider’s Shadow comic and the way it is told attract you, and the characterizations and relationships between these characters are a factor that encourages the audience to continue. But the designs and illustrations appear much lower than expected and do not allow Spider-Man: The Spider’s Shadow to be ahead and neck higher in this regard either.
