Place the image for the user in Windows

We intend to teach users how to place or change photos in Windows 8 and 10; for this, you must follow the steps below, which are very simple, so stay with us until the end of this short article. In the first part, we will discuss setting the profile picture for users in Windows 8 and 8.1.

Click on the start menu so that the menu items are displayed on the monitor’s entire screen.

Then click on the picture of the user you have logged into Windows and select Change Account Picture from the displayed options. In this tutorial, we have logged into the system with the administrator user and want to change this user’s photo.

Then you will enter the following window, and at this stage, you can easily assign the image you want to this user. If your system is equipped with a webcam, you can click the camera button to take a photo and upload it, or if you have a photo in the system, click the Browse button to select the desired photo. Here we select the photo from within the system, so we have to click the Browse button.

By default, by clicking on the Browse button, you will enter the window you see in the picture above, which previews the photos in the Pictures folder of Windows 8. If you click on This PC in this window, you can go to other locations on the computer where you placed the photo and select the image from where the desired image was already copied to the Pictures folder of Windows 8, so you don’t need to. We don’t have to go to another place, select the same photo, and then click the Choose Image button at the bottom of the form.

As you can see, this photo was set for this user. Following the same steps, you can change this photo and assign another photo to this user.

In this section, we will discuss setting the profile picture for the user in Windows 10. In Windows 10, the steps are as simple as this. Just go to Settings and then go to Accounts.

Select the Your info option from the left panel, and in the opposite part of the Create your picture section, select one of the two options, Camera and Browse For one to select a photo from the system webcam or the photos stored in your system. To set the photo as a profile picture.
